A multi-purpose plant, matcha today is always green, but never with envy. Using a process that began over 1000 years ago, this plant has been used not only for tea, but also as flavoring for ice cream, mochi, coffee, cookies, and many other snacks and desserts. Originally created in China, matcha once found itself banned in the country, leading to its manufacturing home to convert to Japan, who is still the primary producer of the product today.

Among its many health benefits, matcha has been known to reduce cholesterol, increase male fertility, help with depression, and protect brain functionality. A protected brain allows for increased focus, making matcha the perfect tea for mysteries and the like. Pair a pot of matcha with these enjoyable productions:

Longlegs
They Cloned Tyrone
Fool Me Once
Queen Sono

Possibly one of the younger teas at just under two centuries old, white tea is the least processed tea that quite simply has only been dried out. This sweet tea also has a deceptive name, for when brewed, white tea is actually pale yellow. Additionally, drinking white tea has many health benefits, including improved dental, skin & heart health, aiding in weight loss, and even improving the immune system.

With all of the health benefits of white tea, it is the perfect fit for shows that make you laugh, or pieces that involve no rigorous physical activity. Sip a mug of white as you enjoy these productions:

Thelma

The Book of Clarence

Beef

The Night Agent

I Got This

The most famous scented tea in China, jasmine tea has a subtly sweet flavor to go along with its wonderful aroma. Typically made with a green tea base, you can also find it made with either a white or black tea base as well. And while jasmine tea is customarily served to welcome guests, historically, jasmine tea was also used for medicinal purposes, including as an antidote to poison.

Sweet and relaxing, jasmine tea is the perfect cup to enjoy shows and movies with warm, positive vibes. Sit and sip as you enjoy these screen shows:

The Old Oak
Perfect Days
I Love That for You
