My grandpa told me I was pretty today...

✅ with no make up

✅ with a big zit on my chin

✅ with my go-to messy hair

✅ with my attitude kinda sucking

✅ looking just like this

Now, my grandpa didn’t really talk to me until I was in 8th grade. He’s just a quiet guy. And my grandma honestly did ALL the talking! (Wonder who I get that from? 😆) He’d always tell me, “Hi, kid!” And “Love ya, kid!” when I came and went. But today he told me I was pretty.

I am blessed in my life with Good Humans with Good Character who build me up, make me feel worthy, and are genuinely kind. This man- peep the smilin’ guy in the back of the second photo- has modeled what constant, never-failing love and the importance of being quiet to listen once in awhile to me and others, and he thinks I’m pretty. So? I’m pretty lucky, you know?

Since we’ve been away from loved ones lately, it’s going to be so nice to see them. To hug them. To love them. So the next time you get a chance, hug your people just a little harder and a little longer! 🤍🖤

I have not gotten to leave my home office much today with conference calls, emails, and getting some business stuff checked off the list. BUT... I have also spent a fair amount of time day dreaming of ALL the things I will do once we get back to "normal".

I have been loving the "literal" sunshine! ☀️ I have been walking every day, golfing off the tee box, and searching for baby calves in our pasture! 🐮

BUT... this quote spoke perfectly to me! I love all the human connection I have been getting this week! Seeing people via FaceTime, chatting through text, talking on the phone, and even seeing others in the grocery isle (6 feet apart!) is my sunshine!

Who’s tired of social distancing?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I have been bored out of my mind at times. I’ve watched too much Proud Family on Disney Plus. And I’ve eaten WAYYYY too much popcorn.
But to help better myself and to make use of this time during social distancing the best I can, I have set personal goals to start to make one positive habit per week. This week, I’m striving to drink 80-100oz of water per day! I have always been a pretty good water drinker, but with this new cup (Thanks, Jessica Hockett), I am hitting my goal easily!

Finely! My cute little doggo, Finley AKA Shark Fin, Finry Henry, Fin Fin, and Stinky Dog brings me joy this weekend. Although she has to get a bath frequently, is scared of every weird noise, and is as weird as they come, she is a happy dog that is so snuggly, yippy, loves kitty cats, and doesn’t know a stranger. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and she helps make our house a home.
