Hello friends, viewers, and family! Over the last 6 months I've had the privilege of sharing community stories with you everyday. From teens making changes, to Veterans regaining confidence. I've learned so so much not only since I began my time reporting for KRQE, but in my time producing newscasts for the station as well. Being in news has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and it's a goal I've worked towards for the better part of a decade, but when your passion starts to get tangled up and twisted into something else, you have to reevaluate. It was not an easy decision, but I've decided to take a break from the industry all together to find out for myself if it's truly what I want to do. That being said, this will be my final story for KRQE.
I have taken a job as the Events and Communications Coordinator at Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico. A role that I am very excited about, and feel blessed to have the opportunity to grow professionally, learn new skills, and have the chance to help families on their worst day.
I want to thank all of you for your continued support of my work at KRQE for the last 2 and a half years, and through the creation of our digital team, who shoots everything on cell phones. It's truly meant the world.
Also Paws and Stripes is an amazing organization and I hope you'll take the time to watch this video and learn more. They're also trying to find a home for a good boy named Rio, more info at the link below.
