Raw Footage Policy:

We do not provide raw footage to our clients for several reasons. Firstly, the footage is unedited and would contain shaky, unstabilized images, poor audio quality, and ungraded color. Secondly, unedited footage could be edited and published without proper association with our company, potentially harming our reputation and brand. Additionally, most clips are only a few seconds long, which would not provide meaningful content for clients. Lastly, preserving the copyright of our work is essential, and providing raw footage could compromise this aspect.

Just so you know, the audio from the camera is also not of good quality, and the file sizes for wedding projects can be hundreds of gigabytes, which can be challenging to manage. This is why we've spent $10,000s on great audio equipment and storage!

"After a year of consideration, Leary Studios is switching from Final Cut Pro X to Davinci Resolve for our main video editing and color grading needs. Final Cut Pro X can't handle a large amount of data from advanced cameras like RED, hindering our work. Davinci Resolve offers powerful color grading tools, advanced editing capabilities, and exceptional performance with RED footage, making it the ideal choice to enhance our work.

I'm confident that this change will produce better results and position us as more of a leading production company in the Twin Cities. Davinci Resolve is widely used by top filmmakers and has been used in Hollywood films like Top Gun: Maverick, Bohemian Rhapsody, Avengers, and many more.

I'm excited to see how Davinci Resolve will enhance our editing and color-grading process, enabling us to deliver even higher-quality videos to our clients. By embracing the latest technology, I believe this change will lead to even greater success for Leary Studios.

“Been making some big changes for Leary Studios lately. The most recent one is I upgraded our drone to the new Mavic 3 yesterday! This will be perfect for the upcoming Europe trip as well as our first wedding in Phoenix, Arizona.

As I’ve already been planning for the new year, I also am finishing up the last 2 edits for the 2021 season. They will most definitely be worth the wait and am so looking forward to sending them over to the couples! “
