The regional premiere of Disney’s Frozen the Broadway Musical is coming to the iconic Paramount stage in downtown Aurora Oct. 30 - Jan. 19, and the buzz is palpable. With a world-class cast featuring beloved characters like Elsa, Anna, Sven and Olaf, and including spectacular set designs and dazzling special effects, it’s
anticipated to be an awe-inspiring wintry experience.

There isn’t a single area that the new show doesn’t deliver on: the actors are incredible, the design is gorgeous, the music is fantastic. Whatever aspect of theatre you enjoy the most, Paramount has it with this production.

Q: Tell us about your business and how did you get started.
A: HelloCollege is one of the nation’s largest providers of college counseling and tutoring services to high school students and their families. We started in the Chicago area in 2012 and have since grown nationally and internationally. We’ve worked 1-on-1 with over 3,000 students since we opened our doors. My team and I have had the pleasure of speaking to over 300,000 families all around the world about academic guidance, test prep, and college planning. It’s been a real joy to help students and families successfully navigate their journeys through high school classes and ACT and SAT prep, and eventually getting them ready for the college application process.

The inspiration for HelloCollege came from my parents who were first-generation immigrants to the United States. They were World War II refugees, so they didn’t have a chance to finish high school let alone go to college. They reinforced in me and my siblings the value of education. I was blessed with the opportunity to attend Northwestern University on a football scholarship. Going to a world-class institution like that really changed my life, being around amazing professors and talented peers. That environment really exposed me to a way of viewing the world and getting ready for my professional career that was really a game changer.

Q: What should juniors and seniors and their families know as we start the 2024-25 school year?

Q: What should we know about fall/holiday family photo sessions?
A: Fall sessions take place at the height of the season and are available for one weekend only - October 19th at Cantigny Gardens and October 20th at Fabyan Forest Preserve. These sessions are perfect for families looking to update their photos or get ahead on holiday cards and gifts. The weather is usually ideal, making it a great time for outdoor portraits.

Holiday sessions are held in our 2,300 square-foot studio in downtown Aurora, beginning at the end of October and running through mid-December. You can choose your preferred background in advance and dress up for the occasion. These timeless family portraits aren’t overly themed, ensuring they'll remain special for years to come. Session prices range from $249 to $499, depending on family size and dates.

New White Eagle resident Christine Blankenship takes on the heavy-lifting of Fall decorating, so you can focus on the fun of the season!

Q: What is your business and how did you get started?
"We deliver, setup, and pickup pumpkins for homes and businesses in the Naperville area. We’ve curated four different packages and add-ons ranging from 20-80+ pumpkins depending on our client’s needs, then we deliver the pumpkins, and lay them out in a pretty display to help our clients get their porches ready for fall entertaining and Halloween! We also pickup our client’s pumpkins at the end of the season and donate them to local farms. I started this business in 2021 while I was 8 months pregnant with my second child. I love decorating for the holidays and have a “go big or go home” mindset when it comes to seasonal decorating, but I didn’t have the time or energy to haul pumpkins from the patch back to my house. The pumpkin patches in the area didn’t offer a delivery service, so hence, The Pumpkin Concierge was formed. I love helping busy families get ready for fall by taking away the heavy lifting, so that they can focus on all of the fun that comes with the holiday season.

Q: What is unique about your business and sets you apart?
"We prioritize making sure our clients are happy with their pumpkin display. I know that decorating can be so personal, and while I love being able to add my design flare to our setups, I want to make sure our clients like what they see. We love when our clients send us photos of their porches so we can mock-up a design for them. Our goal is to make it super easy to plan for fall. School and kids’ sports/activities start picking up and quarterly work deadlines start closing in, so we want our clients to not have to think twice about getting their homes ready for the holidays. We make it easy by making our pre-orders available every August 1st and giving our clients the ability to pre-select their delivery and pickup dates."
