Another real estate shot saved by aerial drone photography here in Kailua Kona!
This property sloped steeply from the home's front to the yard below - meaning that the interior was impossible to see while standing on the ground. So, we took to the air to save the shot!
We lit the property with multiple light sources before the flight, waited for the right light, then shot at dusk for our 'hero' shot!

Here's a great instance where aerial/drone images can help sell a home where traditional photography is limited.
The property slopes down from the home so a ground-based photographer only looks up into the base of the property.
Putting the camera in the air helped look into the interior exposing the warm glow of the lights at sunset, and capture the surrounding privacy this home enjoys.

One of the many drone shots we did this week but this one was especially exciting!
The gardens of this home for sale could not be viewed from the ground with the home included as the garden sloped down away from the house.
I carefully flew the drone in between the branches of a large tree on the border of the property and shot this image which got the home, garden and a sense of privacy the home has in a busy neighborhood.

Shooting aerial images isn't always as easy as flying around and snapping images!
This home was right on the edge of the 5-mile radius around the Kona Airport and so under controlled airspace. Permission was needed from ground control for a legal, safe flight.
Being an FAA Certified UAS pilot, we got permission and featured this home's great location from the air legally!

A client "discovered" a waterfall on their property, hidden deep in the jungle overgrowth. It was impossible to explore the find without serious rock climbing equipment, so we got the drone to do the tour for them! Here is a little of the raw footage. The drone allowed them to highlight their unique waterfall and pool.

Two images of a home we recently photographed. The benefits of aerial photography are numerous! Photographing the house without distortion is great while only 20 feet off the ground - but the photo is still just a straightforward "house photo". Showing the land and proximity to the ocean from 200 feet off the ground is breathtaking!
