From now until May 14th, we will be holding a Round Up at the Register fundraiser for Arches Education Center! 🎓 When you shop at Moonflower, you’ll have the opportunity to round up your purchases to the nearest dollar and donate your change to AEC.

Arches Education Center is the ONLY adult education program within our county in which individuals 16 and up can finish high school (diploma/GED), prepare for college or learn English as a second language! AEC empowers individuals to become self-sufficient, to acquire the skills necessary for employment, effective communication, and personal success.

Funds from the Round Up will go directly towards GED testing fees, English for Speakers of Other Languages curriculum, and high school completion curriculum for undeserved or incarcerated individuals in the Grand County Jail and those struggling financially.

REMINDER: There are still a few spaces available in our cooking class tonight! Sign up at bit.ly/riceclass (see previous post for details).

Shop at Moonflower today and support a small local nonprofit, Mindfulness in Education, for this month’s 5% Day!

About the organization:

“Our mission is to strengthen youth’s learning capacity, mental wellbeing, empathy, and ability to thrive and contribute by teaching yoga and mindfulness skills to students. We currently offer classes to high school and elementary students, and we hope to expand our offerings to the middle school in the future.

Our focus in the community is to help our students learn how to cope with stress and anxiety and to teach them skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives. We are a small non-profit and any funding we receive goes directly to compensating our instructors. All administration comes from volunteers.”

Every second Tuesday of the month, we donate 5% of the day’s proceeds to an organization doing important work in our community.
