And just like that the summer break is over and Army West Point sports are back in action.
We produced 11 soccer and volleyball games in the last 10 days on ESPN Plus. Also broadcast the first Army Football game on the radio - a tough loss at ULM - but no better way to travel than when you can park next to the plane.
Another full slate this week including the football home opener at Michie Stadium. Tune into the Army Football Tailgate Show beginning at 10 AM live from Black Knights Alley. Kickoff is at noon.

On Monday we completed our last Army sporting event of the 2022-2023. Like last year it ended with a Patriot League Championship for the baseball team.

10 Months
157 games
19 different sports
20 members of the crews

It included ESPN+ live stream broadcasts, football radio broadcast, hockey and lacrosse video board shows.

Thanks to the great partners at Army West Point Athletics, and the professionals on our crews for making it all work.

Thanks to the great crew we had tonight as we produced Army / Navy Rugby for TRN (The Rugby Network). Army is the defending National Champs. Navy is currently the top ranked team in the country.

As a young sportscaster I covered a number of Brian Giorgis' girls basketball state championships at Our Lady of Lourdes High School.

When he took the job as Head Coach of the Marist College Women's Basketball Program he asked me to produce a season highlight video that first year, and it continued for the next 21 years.

His run of success and championships at Marist was historic. He had 11 MAAC Championships and 11 NCAA Tournament appearances. They made it to the National Sweet Sixteen in 2007, and I was proud that Beckerle Productions was along for the ride. My job was easy when all they really did was win.

We were equally proud and honored to be asked to help with the Giorgis retirement extravaganza at Marist Saturday night. It was a Coach K type send off that Athletic Director Tim Murray and his staff put together, which included a number of our videos played throughout this special night.

Congratulations Brian on an incredible coaching career.

Great to be on hand for Army Hockey on Sunday afternoon with our video board crew. The day started with a special and emotional recognition for Rachel Leahy who saved the life of an Army player on Thursday. It ended with the Black Knights winning in a shootout against the Providence Friars who are ranked 11th in the country. GO ARMY!

Summer break went fast!

The first game of the 2022-2023 season was last night (women’s soccer), and we are back at Army West Point for another year producing all the ESPN+ broadcasts.

After 128 Army West Point sporting events for Beckerle Production (ESPN broadcasts, video board shows and football radio broadcasts) the final game of the 2021-2022 sports season ended with a Patriot League Baseball Championship for the Black Knights.

Thanks to our great production crew all year long and to Army West Point Athletics for having us.

Hope to be back at the end of August when the soccer and football seasons start up again. In the meantime, have a great summer.
