Whyatts Warriors-Here is an update from how our softball tournament went 2 weeks ago in Charleston. We were happy to be able to present a $2,000 check to Leighton and his family! Leighton is 4 and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia-B Cell last December. Having gone through cancer and the treatments as Whyatt did, our family knows first hand how much of a financial burden it can be taking trips to and from St Louis, staying in hotels (if needed) or even feeding each other while down in the area, all while still needing to make sure the bills at home are still being paid as well. We were happy to be able to relieve some of the burden this family is/could be struggling with! This is what the Whyatt’s Warriors NFP, organization is for! We are paying it forward. Thank you to each and every team that supported the cause and played in the tournament. I cannot wait to see what next year has in store!!

Alright everyone! I want to introduce you to my little buddy Leighton! Leighton is 4 and was disgnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia-B Cell last December. Help me put a smile on his face and make him a TINY SUPERHERO! If we raise $50 Leighton will get a personalized cape! He has a long road ahead of him with his last treatment being in February of 2025. Help me make him the super hero we know he is! Show him some love!!

Whyatt’s name on the bottom rown of the Beacon down in Florida. Every year they light this up with the names of little angels who have lost their battle to cancer! Whyatt’s name was added last year of course. It brings us tears to see his name up there, but an honor that his memory is being shared all over the nation! We love you Whyatt and dearly miss you! How we wouldnt do anything to have you back down here with us! 😢😢❤️❤️❤️

Whyatt update: Cincinnatti gave their recommendationthis morning and they stated Whyatt's best chance is Stem Cell Transplant. We also spoke with the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Committe Chairman on Friday. He put it in very simple but blunt terms. We need to lower our expectations and decide what our goal is. If our goal is to try and keep the tumors from coming back, and understand there is no guarantee, then we need to go with the transplant. If we move forward with what we were wanting to do, by using the Everolimus or another low dose chemo pill, this will weaken Whyatts body and immune system and weaken his bone marrow so that any transplant option in the future will only be harder on him. The doctors made it clear that by doing the transplant now we would be doing it while he is healthy and it won't be as difficult as it will if we wait. We spent the weekend discussing this as a family and we have decided that we want to keep Whyatt with us as long as possible and we want to give him his best chance. None of us are ready to accept defeat yet, and I pray that we won't. Zach gave to deciding vote this morning and we gave St Louis the ok to move forward with the transplant. This is not what we want to do, but what we feel that we need to do. Please DO NOT give us backlash or grief for our decision. We need everyone to respect our decision and support Whyatt as he gears up for literally the fight of his life.

So from 1/30 ish to 2/20 or so, covid hit and spread through our entire household. That was not fun, thankfully all whyatt had was some congestion and a fever.

As of 8/31/2020 all three kids started school but man was the remote learning process a struggle.

So it's been awhile and haven't really updated on how Whyatt's been doing. I am sorry to everyone following along but I will start updating going back to 8/2020. Last update was from 8/13 when he finally got to have his port removed.

For everyone following along, sorry we haven't posted in awhile. Whyatt is doing great. He only has a week or so left of in home therapy with OT and PT and then he can go back to sessions at their office.

Still not sure on when this boy will be going back to school yet but realised tonight I haven't been updating. Sorry again.

He is recovering but wears out easy. One day he can run around the house with the kids and then sleep the next day.
