LET’S TALK POS-TOP MASSAGES
After surgery you should be getting lymphatic massage or lymphatic drainage massage.

- Manual lymphatic drainage is a type of massage that will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph. If you have open wounds fluids will then come out but really you are not suppose to “go out of your way “ to push it out - but you know if it’s open it will come out 😉or re-open wounds or drain with a needle. Only the nurses can do that last part.

- Just lymphatic massage is just gentle strokes on your lymph nodes and this is not suppose to hurt at all.

- A good post op massage should not hurt that much and make you dizzy and hurt you for days after, no that one is just abuse 😁. Yes they can massage your body to relieve some pressure or soreness but should be base on your pain tolerance. Your body just went trough a lot of trauma no need to add more to it.

- Never let them do CAVITATION. as part of your postop services - I will post why in a different post. Ultra sound is good, red light therapy yes, vibration plates yes. Otherwise they need to use their HANDS. That is how it is done everything else is just supplemental. This is Facts yet people will argue this wrong🤦‍♀️. I do not argue I just block 😂. Go argue with the state that sets the rules and regs.👋
