What's your favorite snare mic(s)?

One of our favorite combos is a Shure 57 + modded oktava 012. The modded 012 has tamed highs and enhanced low-mids which make it a perfect SDC for snare bottom.

Way back in the day I got paid by my one of my childhood dream record labels: Solid State Records - to record and produce my band's record and have it mastered by Spectre Mastering (Troy Glessner). This was a bucket-list event. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity even once in my life.

Wax Vessel released the Kentucky Waterfall Anthology which sold out in 75 seconds. Previously recorded with Burning Bridge Recordings from 2004-2008, this amazing spread of vinyl records have been delivered and shipped. We wanted to honor this achievement with a tribute. If you don't know Kentucky Waterfall, it is one of Joel's old bands from the mid 2000's screamo / grindcore era. Enjoy!
