Good morning, dear friends! Need you help and advise! My oldest niece Anna graduated from school this year and needs to go to university. Does anyone have a contact of person who can help her to decide where to go and how to look for scholarships? She graduated on a top of her class, speaks English and she is really smart girl!
If you can help us with information we would appreciate it!

Would like to give you an update on our situation.
After waiting for more then a month for Humanitarian Parole approval, new Uniting for Ukraine program has came out. We were advised to withdraw our application for Humanitarian Parole and apply under the new program, as it is supposed to be faster.
We finally received our Authorizations for travel and hope to be flying to the United States soon.

Authorization for travel does not grant us Parole. Uppon arrival to the United States, a U S. Customs and Border Protection officer will make the determination on Parole once we arrive at Port of entry.

So we will find out our destiny on arrival, which is a little bit scary but we do hope for the best.

There is no words to describe how thankful we are to every single one of you. This would never happen without your help and, of course, without our Angel, Huso.

Dear friends! We need your help!

USCIS received our documents for Humanitarian Parole. But approval time is still up to 120 days! 120 days!! It is a long long time for someone who is in crisis! Very long time!
We are trying everything possible on our end to get my family to safety to our home in North Dakota !! We doing it the right and legal way. Not through Mexican border or any other border you can run through like thousands other people do and they get granted Humanitarian Parole after getting thrown in jail.
We are not doing this!

But yet, looks like we being punished for doing everything legal way.

I am asking you for any contacts of any politicians you may know so I can write them and ask them to push on USCIS to expedite our case!
So far, I got answer only from Kelly Armstrong 's office! I wrote multiple emails to many politicians but never got response from any of them! They just abandoned us. So, please, if you have any contacts, real contacts of real people, please let me know.
We try to stay positive but the frustration is real.
Thank you so much for your help!

Good morning dear customers!

We would like to give you an update on our situation.
As you all know, it has been almost 3 months since we left to Ukraine to visit Anna's family and got caught in war. We managed to get our family out of Ukraine and took temporary refuge in Czech Republic.
Currently we are in the process of waiting for Humanitarian Parol to get Anna's family to North Dakota.
I am back to United States to get everything ready for their arrival. There are so many things that need to be done, as we will have to accommodate 5 more people in our house, that means new bedrooms, bathrooms, closets and so much more to make them feel comfortable in different country and new environment.

We are looking forward to continuing working for you and support our community. We are starting to take requests for estimates and you can reach us at 701-270-0458. We will be back to work as soon as everything will be ready for our family to arrive.
We appreciate all the support and help we received from our amazing clients! We will continue proudly serving North Dakota and provide excellent services for you!
Thank you for your patience! God bless!

Happy Easter, dear friends! We hope you had a wonderful day even if the weather wasn't really spring looking. The situation we are in right now tough us to take the best from everyday and enjoy simple things!

We were so happy to hike to small ski resort area, which already closed for the season, and had a small picknick on the deck. We enjoyed sunny weather, and we are so blessed to be safe and together!

We are so grateful for all the donations, kind words, prayers and support we received from you! Thank you so much!

We would like to give you a financial report and let you know the payments we already made.
1. Immigration attorney fee $4 800
2. USCIS filing fees $2 875 ($575 for each applicant)
3. Apartment rent in Ukraine and Czech republic + travel expenses, like train and bus tickets $4 900
These were our main expenses so far, not including necessities like food, every day items and clothes.
We can't thank enough to each and every one of you for your amazing support!
We will keep you updated on our situation!
God bless!

Wowzers! Sarah Hinnenkamp, the Editor of the new Borderland Press (the new newspaper taking over after the Cavalier County Republican stopped its presses a couple of months ago), is sure doing a great job editing this new publication. Check out this week's cover story featuring Anna and Brent Huso's harrowing journey OUT OF UKRAINE. Anna and Brent are the McVille, North Dakota, residents who were caught in Ukraine when the war broke out in late February while they were visiting Anna's family. Both Anna and Brent are great "Friends of Frost Fire," and Brent even worked at Frost Fire during the winter of 2019-2020 developing their terrain park, making snow in the middle of the night, and doing countless other jobs for Frost Fire. He has been coming out to Frost Fire to go boarding for nearly 20 years. Here's Sarah's story on their journey OUT OF UKRAINE.

Arina is attending school in Czech Republic, her first class every day is Czech language!

Anna is not in school yet, she needs to pass mathematics test next week and interview in Czeck. So we are learning Czeck from some YouTube videos.

Meanwhile, English classes are our everyday routine and today Brent joined Anna's school online English class so kids can hear and speak with native English speaker. Everyone enjoyed it big time!
We are trying our best to enjoy every day and appreciate all your support and will give you updates on our situation as long as financial report soon.
Glory to Ukraine!

Sharing from Brent and Anna . . .

HELLO VALUED CUSTOMERS!!!
I am sorry I am still unavailable to reach by cell phone. I am eager to get back to business as soon as I can get back to the USA.
Anna and I are still dealing with immigration services with getting her family from Ukraine safely to North Dakota. This has been a very difficult and timely process. For anyone unaware of our situation we have been stuck in Ukraine when the war started and it was hell getting out of there but now we have taken temporary refuge in Czech Republic.
We have had to sacrifice so much of our business so we are able to help take care of Anna's family who lost absolutely everything during this terrible war. It has taken a toll on so much from everybody.
When we finally get back safely to ND we look forward your continued support for our local businesses and hope you are able to understand all these circumstances that we have gone through which has affected our lives and also our businesses.
If you have any tree work or stump grinding we would appreciate your business as soon as we are back!
Please PM 701 Tree Service LLC FB page with regards to tree work and also leave a cell number so I can call you right when we get to ND!
God Bless you all for understanding our crisis and we appreciate all of your support!

Just wanted to thank you all for your support and give you an update on our situation.
All of us made it safely to Czech Republic. It was a long and difficult journey but we happy to be safe and comfortable.

We had 3 hours drive to Slovakian border and were lucky to cross it pretty fast. Slovakian Red Cross was absolutely amazing, they had tents set up with food and refreshments, Humanitarian help. Everyone was super helpful!

We had to wait 4 hours for transfer to nearest town and then from there we took a train to Kosice, Slovakia where we stayed for the night.
The very next morning we border 9 hours train to Prague and had to stay there for one more night.

And finally the next day after 3 hours on the bus we reached our destination, small town on the North of Czech Republic.
We finally breezing air without worries and even knowing it is not our final stop we are so happy to take this break.
The owner of appartment we staying in, when she found our we are from Ukraine, filled our fridge with food and brought clothes for girls!
People are amazing!

We were able to get kids into school and they already have over 40 Ukrainian kids in school here!

We filed documents for Humanitarian Parol to get our family to US and we will make it in the right and legal way. And we hope for the support of everyone and especially our authorities.
Most of all I want to thank my amazing husband, who gave us all the support and positivity and optimism. Who stayed with us, who sacrifice his business for helping our family! I am so happy to have him by my side!

Same story, but this time it was shared by KMOT TV. Great to see that their story is getting more coverage in Western North Dakota.

A family from McVille, North Dakota made their way to visit Ukraine in early February, just a couple of weeks before Russia’s attack. Now They say they are stuck, delaying their hopeful escape out of the country.

We are still in Western Ukraine. This huge amount of stress affected my mom's health. She got to the hospital today. There is not enough oxygen flows to her heart. So she constantly has pain in a heart area, hard to breathe, tierd all the time. So we had to postpone our journey out of Ukraine till she gets better.
Meanwhile, I hope that US will change their policy and start accepting people from Ukraine.

At the same time spring came to the mountains but no one noticed. So many people were waiting for it, but it got stolen from us.

We have one more family of refugees leaving with us and they made this snowman today. I wish the war will be over by the time it melts. 💛💙

I would appreciate any contacts of visas attorneys. I would love to take my family to US till this war is over. I am not talking about immigration.
I did reached out to some of them, I found on internet, but had no answer.
Maybe someone knows about Host Family or any other ways. Or reliable visa attorney.

For the information: Ukrainian citizens need travel visa to go to US. That is why my family can't come to US right now, they don't have visas.

In case you missed this, the InForum folks just re-posted this story:

North Dakota couple Brent and Anna Huso traveled to Ukraine for a special ski vacation with family this winter. The couple is still there.
While visiting her family, Russia attacked Anna's homeland. Her family left the ski trip early to get back to Kyiv, and they had to scramble to get on trains, as bombs rained down on them.
On Wednesday, March 9, Anna and Brent are trying to get back to McVille — it's home. But they are in western Ukraine. All of them are hoping the Ukrainian family members can come back with them to North Dakota.
