Schools are closed tomorrow!

Coffee County Schools to Close Tuesday, January 9

The National Weather Service is predicting severe thunderstorms with high winds and possible heavy rainfall and hail in our area tomorrow. The storms are likely to include wind gusts that would make it unsafe for our buses to safely operate. After meeting with local emergency management officials, a decision has been made to close school for students and staff on Tuesday, January 9. Please stay safe!

On Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM, the City of Douglas invites the community to a Victory Parade celebrating Coffee County's 5A State Championship-winning Trojan Football Team.

The parade route along Peterson Avenue will be followed by a ceremony in Central Square Complex Gym B for words of admiration from community leaders and insights from the coaches and team members.

The Coffee High Trojans defeated the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes 33-18 on the road tonight to advance to the GHSA Class AAAAA State Championship! The 14-0 Trojans will face the 13-1 Creekside Seminoles on Wednesday, December 13 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Kickoff is at 4:00 PM. Game details and ticket information will be posted as soon as that information is available.

The Coffee High Trojans defeated the Jones County Greyhounds 45-14 at Jardine Stadium tonight in Round 2 of the GHSA Class AAAAA State Football Playoffs. Coffee will host the winner of the Cass vs Mays game (Cass leads 14-0 in the second half) next Friday night in Round 3 of the playoffs. Game time and ticket information will be available on Monday.

The Coffee High Trojans defeated the Chamblee Bulldogs 56-0 at Jardine Stadium tonight in Round 1 of the GHSA Class AAAAA State Football Playoffs. Coffee will host the winner of the Jones County vs Northside game (Jones County leads 42-21 late in the 3rd quarter) next Friday night in Round 2 of the playoffs. Game time and ticket information will be available on Monday.

The City of Douglas has received distance variance requests from two local pharmacies seeking to dispense Low THC Oil (medical cannabis) to registered patients at separate locations. These requests will be discussed by the Coffee County Planning Commission on October 19, with City officials inviting public participation and feedback. Link in comments for more.
