2024 The Dalles Starlight Parade

Cut Fact #1 - If you and/or your children attended Mosier Elementary between 1978-2018ish you know my mom, Mrs. Cutler.

I'm still working on my night shooting. I took my camera out of AUTO for the parade and played around with different settings. Some worked. Some didn't. Photography is kind of new to my arsenal. The only other times I shoot at night is when I take photos of the rodeo at the Wasco County Fair & Rodeo. You should check out that page too. I've been working on their Facebook and Instagram pages since 2018. Batch 2 coming tomorrow night.

One night in December of 2023 I drove around The Dalles and shot video of the lights around town. I didn't get around to putting it together until the day after Thanksgiving in 2024. I will do the same thing in a couple of weeks when more lights go up. Excited to see what you have in store for this year.

Thanks to everyone involved in organizing and participating in this year's parade. It got me out of the office and I need to do that a lot more often. More parades, please!
It was fun to see old and new friends in the parade and take their pictures as they drove by. Thanks for not running over me or that pile of candy that was building up around my feet.

More photos from the Veterans Day Parade. I had a lot of fun doing this and want to cover more events like this in Wasco County and the Columbia Gorge, or beyond. Holler if you need video/photo coverage or know of an event that could use my services. Taking part in events like this is one of the reasons I moved back to the Gorge.

Probably the main reason I decided to livestream the Veterans Day Parade today. My Halloween candy is gone and I thought this would be an excellent way to stock. Thank you to those who tossed multiple times so I could get a good shot. My bad for those who tossed and I did not get a good shot. We'll try again next parade!

The parade and stream start at 10 AM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, but the live view of the parade may not be at my location, Copper West-The Dalles, until 10:20 or 10:30.
