For Joanne Conway, the path to becoming one of the South Shore’s most respected realtors began in an unlikely place—behind the counter of a dress shop in Hingham.

Originally studying retail in college, she was hired to work at Conte’s Dress Shop in Hingham as a manager and buyer. “I worked with the owner, Dolly Tocchio, and over time, the Tocchios became like a second family to me.”

Ultimately, Joanne found a new path, blending her people skills, deep community connections, and newfound passion for property into a career that would span nearly four decades and counting.

⭐️Congratulations to our August South Shore Real Producer— Lyndsey Nolan of Coldwell Banker! ⭐️

For Lyndsey Nolan, real estate isn’t just a career—it’s a family legacy. Born and raised in Falmouth, MA, she represents the third generation of realtors in her family, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother.

Like many realtors, Lyndsey’s path to real estate wasn’t a straight line. After graduating from Falmouth High School, she decided to study abroad in Australia. She fell in love with the country and culture before completing her degree in Communications at Bond University on the Gold Coast.

Lyndsey’s husband led to another international adventure, with the couple moving to Ireland during the Celtic Tiger boom.

“Having done several international moves helped prepare me for being an agent,” Lyndsey says. “I know how stressful it can be, whether it’s an international move, a local one, or even situations like death or divorce. I work to be there from start to finish, taking the stress out of the process for my clients.”

Lyndsey and her husband eventually left Ireland and settled on the South Shore, drawn to Hingham, where she decided to get her real estate license.

“I studied communications and psychology, so I just love learning about people and understanding them. People tell me I am intuitive, and that’s important in this business.”

⭐️🇺🇸Congratulations to Lauren Mahoney of Compass, our July cover Real Producer, showcasing her Hingham pride and Fourth of July spirit! ⭐️🇺🇸

Born and raised in Hingham, Lauren left the South Shore to attend Boston College before moving to New York to work in media sales.

There, she met her husband and they transitioned to local celebrities—their wedding photo graced the lobby of the Boston Harbor Hotel for years after the ceremony. 

After moving back in 2013, Lauren has built on her roots to build up her community. 

After starting at Keller Williams, then spending five years at William Raveis, Lauren joined Compass in February 2021, a company she calls her "forever home." There, she’s formed the Lauren Mahoney Team with Lauren Carabelli.

"I thrive on being in the mix, volunteering, and connecting with people in a helpful way," she says. “It’s part of why—while I love working with sellers—my favorite moment in real estate is when one of my buyer clients gets the home they want, especially in this market.”

⭐️ Partner Spotlight: Meet Taylor Stefano of Loan Depot!⭐️

After graduating with a degree in Business Administration and working in insurance for a few years, Taylor Stefano had a problem: Her heart wasn’t in it. 

“I couldn’t sit still in insurance Monday through Friday, 9 to 5,” she said. She wanted to work in something where she could make a more significant impact on people's lives.

“Growing up, my dad was a realtor and I had always been passionate about real estate.”

Then, in a turn of fate, her dad connected her with her current boss at Loan Depot. After their initial meeting together her current boss decided to take a chance and train someone brand new in the industry from the ground up. 

Her soon-to-be boss told Taylor that she had all the qualities that couldn’t be taught in this kind of career: she’s a go-getter with a genuine desire to help others achieve their dreams of homeownership. And so, Taylor started on her career as a ceiling-shattering mortgage broker. 

In August 2021, Taylor joined Loan Depot, and it’s safe to say that she began at a time when the business was not booming.

Undeterred, she built her brand from the ground up, attending networking events and leveraging her natural ability to connect with people.

Her dedication paid off, and by the end of the year, she had closed an impressive 26 loans, far exceeding the average of 5-10 loans for most industry professionals.

“You know, I have this rule, ‘Eat that frog.’ I get up and I do the most difficult task so that the rest of the day feels like a breeze.”

When she’s not working, Taylor taps into her South Shore roots. Born and raised in Plymouth, Taylor's love for the ocean and the outdoors shaped her life from an early age. She even got her boating license at 16.

Today, she enjoys time spent on the boat with her family as well as reading, leading in a book club, and outdoor activities like ATV riding at her family's cabin in Maine.

⭐️Congratulations to our May South Shore Real Producers Rising Star—Mike Vazza of Compass! ⭐️

Mike grew up on the South Shore and graduated from Providence College with a finance degree. From there, he spent a decade at Fidelity, where he managed individual families' personal assets. But there was an itch that finance wasn’t scratching. 

“Whenever I had a few free minutes at work, I’d start looking at real estate,”he says.

Growing up, he was surrounded by the industry—his father, grandfather, and uncle were all real estate developers.

So when the time came to move on from private wealth management, Mike followed his heart. For the last year, Mike has worked at Compass on the Ben Lincoln team.
