The team at Equinox Books has been so busy with the SynergEBooks acquisition that I've neglected to post updates on all of our other news.

OUR FIRST NEW TITLE ACQUISITIONS

Although we announced these acquisitions via the Equinox Books social media platform, I didn't get to share the news personally.

First, Dead Air, a new thriller by Michael Bradley, where a top-rated DJ's childhood secrets are threatened to be revealed when her stalker’s obsession spirals toward a terrifying reunion. This is Michael's third book, and we think it's his best (:-)). You can find Michael at his website https://www.mbradleyonline.com/, on Twitter () and on Facebook ().

Next, The Brass Queen, a steampunk romantic comedy by Elizabeth Chatsworth. Not only is Elizabeth a fantastic writer, she is also a voice-over actress. I've got to confess, I was hooked listening to her lovely voice in the sample audio chapter of The Brass Queen. Most recently we signed Shift, a downright funny romp through space, time and the multiverse, by Jason Offutt. We're also negotiating with several other authors (but I can't spill the beans on those titles yet).

NEW TEAM MEMBER

Last month, Bridget McFadden joined our team as a Publishing Assistant. Bridget has a Masters in Publishing and brings the love of story that you must have in order to succeed in this business.

We've got some B I G news to share. Equinox Books now has a sister imprint, SynergEbooks! CamCat Publishing, acquired its second imprint, SynergEbooks, earlier this month.

SynergEbooks has been in business for over 20 years and counts over 350+ digital titles in its catalog. Founder Debi Staples will be consulting over the next few months to ensure a seamless transition. “When I do leave this business entirely in the hands of CamCat Publishing, I will go with a light heart, if bittersweet, knowing my baby of 20 years is in the best of hands.”

Sue Arroyo, Publisher and CEO of CamCat Publishing and Equinox Books, explained: “I'm delighted at the opportunity to work with such a group of diverse authors and re-introduce a list that has been carefully curated by Ms. Staples for the past 20 years."
