Munford Lions clinch the first round sweep. They win game one easily over the panthers of Geneva 14-0. Game two on the other hand was in Genevas control the whole game. The lions trailed 7-4 in the top of the 7th. They rally with two out to score three runs and tie it up going to the bottom of the seventh. They hold Geneva in the bottom half of the seventh. Then the plate two in the top of the eighth. Things got edgy as the panthers first two batters got hit by pitch. But Gatlyn Watts was unfazed on the mound. Striking out the next batter, then a fly ball gets out number two. With runners on second and thrid, Watts gets the ground ball to third base to end the game. Next up round 2 the lions will host Bibb County.
