This morning as I journaled, I thought about the current climate of movie production. If you aren’t aware of the situation, please search the internet for IATSE and do your own research. As I reflect on what is happening, I stand with my friends and family in film who are being treated unjustly. At the moment, I’m listening to random songs in my music library. “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Marcus Mumford started to play as I started to type this and it gave me chills. It was a song I found from watching Ted Lasso. I love Ted Lasso because it teaches many valuable life lessons, or at least reminds us of lessons we have learned and since forgotten. I think that’s part of the magic of moving pictures, music, books, stage plays, and really all art. Sometimes it can be just what we need to see, right when we need to see it. The art is made once, and for generations people will watch it, listen to it, or see it over and over again. They will learn from it and hopefully appreciate it.
