Breaking News - a Verdict has just been reached for Paul Trevino who claims injuries from his Bard/Davol Ventralex mesh. Jurors decided on $4.8 Million in compensatory and $7.68 Million in punitives.

In a Friday verdict, an Ohio jury decided Becton, Dickinson, which acquired Bard 5 years ago, must pay a hernia mesh injured man $255k. Punitive damages were not awarded.

Awaiting word from Australia where 10,000 women have had their decision against J&J appealed. the company will find out if its appeal was successful. If not, it can appeal to the highest court. That is the final appeal. this has been going on there 9 years.

Multidistrict litigation- Love it or hate it. Paragard birth control MDL has just formed in Georgia amassing cases from around the country. Problem, as it is with many IUDs, is that the device can break and migrate doing more harm than good.
