Excited to announce that I will be moving out to Nevada as an official Art Designer for Konami Games Inc!! A year and a half, 500+ job applications, and a LOT of tears later I can finally say I’m beginning my artistic career. Thank you guys for the love and support and listening to me whine haha

Covid effected my art in a way I never expected. When I first heard we were going in to quarantine I did all this planning on what I wanted to do to become a better artist but I kind of just froze up. I hated everything I made during the time after ‘graduation’ (or lack thereof) and I found myself actually regressing as an artist.

My college taught me a lot and I’m forever grateful to the faculty and animation program for that. But to be completely honest, the program instilled incredibly toxic work habits in me and many others. It’s important to work hard, but I argue it’s even more so to have a balance. My right hand still goes numb sometimes. I still have that voice in the back of my head that says my work isn’t good unless I’m pushing myself to the breaking point.

But I know better now. I know I can work hard without hurting myself mentally and physically. I know I have good ideas and that I don’t always have to force them out of me. I know that I’ll make it as an artist, even if it takes longer for me in comparison to others. I’m not giving up.

Thank you to all my friends and family who stand by me even when I have my moments where my confidence just drains. I’ll keep trying to be better and more positive.

Idk I’ve been thinking a lot about life lately 😂 definitely not as lost as I was right after graduation (or lack thereof cause of COVID) but still more lost then I ever was during regular schooling. I’m glad I’m not alone in feeling this way. I just wish everyone luck in whatever they want to do/achieve 🥰. Adulthood is weird.
