I see this attitude a lot online (so of course, I made a meme about it). I may get some slack for bringing it up, but I don't mind.

As The Relaxed Kayaker, I will encourage, educate, and entertain the public about the natural beauty and wonders of Florida. I will show where to go, what to bring, and how to do - all things kayaking in Florida. There is no gatekeeping with me. I aim to serve the version of myself that existed in October of 2020 when I first decided to try this whole kayaking thing out. The only exception is when it involves private property or safety issues.

For everyone who says that my content will lead people to a location and ruin it for the locals, all I can tell you is people were already there before I ever showed up and there's no excuse to act like a location is undiscovered while there's a parking lot and a state park sitting on top of it 🤦.

I encourage everyone to see these places for themselves while they can and to experience what God would have us to learn from his creation. Please do so with safety, consideration for others, and find ways to help in conservation efforts across this incredible state!

Episode 2 and 3 of The Relaxed Kayaker Podcast have been released.

Episode 2 is all about choosing the right kayak cart for you. THIS IS A MUST for anyone who would be looking into buying or using a cart. I go over 6 considerations that you need to ask yourself and 6 different varieties of carts that are on the market today. Even if you're not in need of a cart at this time, please check out the first few minutes to hear about some recent developments and a story that Emily and I got to witness involving 2 guys and, "a very heavy kayak" (according to them 😆 ).

This was the moment right here where I realized how grateful I was for this day. To be standing at a spring producing over 500 million gallons of pure clean water a day for thousands of years, makes me feel that all of the other problems of life seem small. That the same One who created and sustains all of this, is still able to hold us through the stress, the pains, and the discomforts of life.

The waters of Weeki Wachee.

As I was on the river 🌊 once again, I couldn't help but be thankful for the opportunity to experience these waters.

I think about the child in Chicago 🥶 or up in Montana ❄️ where spring fed waters and warmer temperatures 🌤 might not be something they've seen for themselves. The analytics of our Tiktok 📲 videos tells me that hundreds of thousands of viewers - and no🙅‍♂️, that's not an exaggeration, living in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Guatemala, and Mexico have seen me swim through underwater caverns 🥽 and kayak in the sunlight. These are people who might not have known natural waters can be this clear, that manatees, among other wildlife are there right before their eyes 👀. Maybe they see greater sights in their country. Maybe they don't.

➡️ All I can say is that when I share my experiences through these posts and short videos, I hope they do what I do. I hope they say a pray to their Creator. Thanking God 🙏for the gifts that he has given us on this earth🌎 and resolving to educate others on the lessons these experiences have to teach us.
