In episode 194 we sat down with the host of Ashley Saupe! Ashley is a life long Alaskan, rock climber, kayak adventurer, motorcyclist and a truly wonderful soul. Ashley was feeling a bit hesitant to come on the show as she says she a pretty shy person. Ashley opened up with us about her dark time with her knee injury and how she has climbed out of that period of time to show her true colors as a joyful, silly, and thankful individual. The Sharp End Podcast is another example of Alaskans following their passions and letting the world take a peek into the tragedies of adventures gone wrong. If you spend enough time in the mountains, forests and rivers you may eventually see yourself or another person in a life or death situation. Ashley’s show details those moments and how to be prepared for the time you may find yourself in one of those unfortunate situations. It’s always cool for us to sit down with another podcaster and get the behind the scenes on what motivated them to start their show and what it takes to make a podcast successful! Thank you Ashley for coming in and recording with us, we know our audience will enjoy our conversation! You can find the show today on our YouTube channel. (Link in story) Please take a moment to subscribe, like and share as we try to grow our channel and audience. We appreciate you 👊🏼

This one’s "For the Grom’s” Ep. 193 out now on YouTube! We had the pleasure to have Greg Stafford & Emily "BIG AIR” Baker of in the studio to talk all things skiing and film festivals. Greg and Emily created a film festival for Alaskan skiers and riders to shine. Their goal was to create a platform for Alaskans to shine on the big screen. They have two shows Nov. 21st & 23rd. The 21st is sold out but you can still get tickets for Saturday the 23rd. We attended this event last year and it’s a great experience! We hope you enjoy the show and learn a little about film making and what it takes to put on one of these film festivals. 👊🏼

Ep. 191 (Refuge Alaska) w/ out now! You can find the show today on our YouTube channel, Apple Podcasts or Spotify. We were joined by musicians Sam Kassirer & Harrison Goodale to talk about this short film that focuses on 13 of the 16 refuges of Alaska. Pairing incredible footage with original audio played by 4 different artist they created a short 12 min film that bring together the harmony that is nature. Refuge Alaska had some time at the Alaska Museum and is now available to view on YouTube. We also were allowed to play the film in its entirety at the end of our podcast with them. The idea behind the film is to bring awareness to public lands and to raise money to keep those lands in the public hands. Please take a a minute or 12 to watch the video when you get the chance. It’s very zen! We will post the link in our story. Enjoy!

We finally got our boy Cisco on the pod! Ep. 190 "Always Wear the Whites" out now! ( ) Cisco was the first person that invited Brandon and I on a sheep hunt many years ago and we can’t thank him enough for the introduction to mountain hunting. Needless to say that first hunt was pretty mush a disaster. We ran out of food, brought way too much clothes, gear, and stuff we realize now that we didn’t need. We did not get a sheep that trip but that didn’t detour us from trying again and again and again until we figured it out! We’ve learned a lot since that first trip and to see Cisco draw the Tok tag and have success, we had to bring him in to tell the story.

Jack ( ) accompanied Cisco on the hunt as he had been back in that area before with his dad and got the double tap. There picture is still in the 40 mile air offices! We hope you enjoy the podcast and the story! You can find the show today on the Alaska Wild Project YouTube page. Link in story.
