Suspect arrested in this heinous hit-and-run caught on video last March. Using automated license plate reader data, SJPD’s Traffic Investigations Unit detectives tracked down the driver and arrested Vu Ngoc Lam at SFO.
A female victim was stabbed in South San Jose Tuesday night. Our officers worked diligently to apprehend the suspect yesterday.
This juvenile suspect chased down and intentionally ran over a victim with his car after a fight in a nearby restaurant. It was all caught on video. The suspect is now in Juvenile Hall charged with attempted murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
SJPD Fallen Officer Monument Unveiled
The SJPD Fallen Officer Monument was unveiled this week, honoring the SJPD officers who gave their lives in service to our city. And it’s a reminder to us all, officer and citizen alike, of the risks SJPD officers take every day they go to work to protect our city.
Our officers responded to a possible robbery call with a suspect brandishing a firearm; as they attempted to detain the suspect, he cut one of them with a boxcutter and fled in a car with a woman, causing a pursuit. The suspects caused a multi-car collision and are in custody.
Help SJPD investigators track down the driver in this fatal hit & run accident that occurred on June 3, 2023, at approximately 11:58 PM on Monterey Road near Curtner. A dark-colored sedan struck a female bicyclist who succumbed to her injuries on July 8.

SJPD Makes Mass Gang Arrest
SJPD’s specialized units teamed up with other local agencies to arrest 12 dangerous gang members wanted for crimes like attempted murder, armed robberies, assaults, firearms possession & narcotics possession. Several search warrants yielded significant contraband and evidence in other cases.
