The Hopkins County Coroner has confirmed that 48-year-old Sandra Eckard of Dawson Springs tragically died from injuries sustained during Sunday’s severe storms. According to the Coroner’s Office, her death was caused by multiple blunt force traumas inflicted by the storm.

Three suspects, identified as Hernan Torres, Sr. (50), Hernan Torres, Jr. (25), and Hernando Torres (19), have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting incident that occurred on April 1 at a convenience store located at 2490 South Wayside Drive around 8:20 p.m. The charges, including murder, have been filed in the 338th State District Court.
