Fiber Alchemy Knit and crochet designs and products. Alchemy is defined as the transformation of matter, and how better to describe the process of turning yarn into items?

Fiber Alchemy started creating and releasing designs in 2008, moved it's base to Ravelry in 2011, and has been growing in momentum the past year. Often inspired by nature, television/film, and books, Fiber Alchemy is excited to design and release patterns for years to come! We can also be found on:

It's finally time to unveil my newest design! I was inspired by the twist often seen in hooded cowls when wrapping the cowl around the neck, but I wanted to recreate the look in a capelet form. This was my first time using a moebius twist (faux moebius, for those who are scientifically minded!), and I definitely enjoyed it! This pattern is currently 40% off through the end of November, and is the first pattern utilizing my new pattern format!

Why hello, yarn. You've waited a long time for me to work on this design with you and, now that wedding crafting is finished, it's time I get back to designing!

My newest pattern has been released on Knotions! I am thrilled with the opportunity to work with them, and honored that they chose to publish my pattern. A huge thank you to Knotions for all of their hard work, and to Designs by Mesha for allowing me to use her kids as models!

I am really proud of this design (plus the model is absolutely adorable!). This one can be made as a capelet (as shown) or as a cowl with sizes ranging from baby to adult.

This was another design inspired by Shark Week. The hood points back like a shark's fin, the top of the dress and hood of the vest are lined with "teeth", and the front fins of the shark wrap around the front of the body to the back and form the armhole for the sleeve. This was another fun one to design!

I had so much fun designing this one! Inspired by Shark Week, I did the bottom of the dress to mimic a shark's tail, the sleeves are like the front fins of a shark, and the hat is of course the top fin.

This was a fun chart to make! I love Tim Burton and know how popular Jack is, so I made two versions (a small one and a larger one). http://bit.ly/Jackfacecharts

This was another fun project that I was requested to write a pattern. Easy to customize, too!

This was a fun project to do, and I decided to write it up as the 3rd pattern I offered (though technically the 2nd was a chart!). It's been great to see how people alter it to fit their needs!

The first pattern I ever wrote, after getting several requests. The pattern that started me down the designing rabbit hole!
