Happy Tahoma Tuesday 🏔

Tahoma (təqʷuʔməʔ in the Twulshootseed language) is the original name for Mount Rainier, given by the native tribes who have resided in the Puget Sound for thousands of years. The name Tahoma has great significance, in one translation meaning "Mother of All Waters" due to the life that is made possible by the mountain's runoff.

It's always incredible to catch a glimpse this beautiful ancient volcano, and to stop and think of its impact on us and the environment around us 🦌
