Dear Lord, as news reports roll in this afternoon of a tornado on the ground in or near the West Brazos region, we lift our cares to you, and we trust in You for a hedge of protection around ourselves, our homes, our vehicles, and our other property.

Oh, Lord, let us remain calm and safe on this blessed day!

We trust in your goodness always, and we rest joyously in your Will today and all days!

In Jesus Holy name, we LOVE YOU Lord!

Lets make this an awesome night.

It's been a while since we've updated our website, and many have inquired about our start-up status: is the West Brazos Herald still on?

The answer is, yes!

Our inaugural eEdition in December was well received, but, well, producing it took more out out of our small crew of volunteers than we'd anticipated.

So we've been in re-grouping mode ever since, and, now, with most folks shut in by COVID 19, we're gearing up for some online meetings and training for anyone interested in doing a little Christian reporting, and writing to help keep the West Brazos region informed and encouraged in the coming days.

More details coming to the site later this week, but, for now, we just wanted to start getting the word out that West Brazos Herald is still on the move! Because our God is ALWAYS GREAT!

The West Brazos Herald is a non-profit, Bible-centered newspaper that, God willing, will begin publishing weekly serving Brazoria, Sweeny, West Columbia, and other nearby parts of southwestern Brazoria County, Texas in 2020 (Exact date dependent upon the results of our fund raising efforts. Brazoria County is blessed with a very thorough and active public library system. And one of the many things awesome free resources our library offers is Gale Courses. And, on that note, some of us on the all volunteer staff of the West Brazos Herald are signing up for Digital Photography class to see if we can't sharpen our skills and improve the paper and website's content a little. We invite you to join us! The course asks for a 24 hour committment over 6 weeks, and it starts on January 15.

A little fellowship with your fellow students adds a little fun to any course, right? If you sign up, please leave a comment here, and we'll look for you in the class. And after we're all done with the course, everybody will have plenty of opportunity to practice some of what they've learned (and be a blessing to our local community) with some pictures we can share with the world on WestBrazosHerald.com or in one of our forthcoming printed editions!

With hundreds of online classes, career training programs, and certification prep courses, we have the professional development you need to start a new career or get your next promotion.

On this Christmas Day, we Celebrate The Lord's Coming into our World, and we reflect with solemn joy on the gifts brought for the Lord by the famous wise men sometime after Christ's Birth. Our prayer today is that the humble, simple Holy spirit by which Our Lord arrived, will prevail for all eternity as our Great God has promised.

Following a Christmas-time suggestion we heard from several local pastors and church leaders, The West Brazos Herald continues it's season of prayers for Christmas: Lord willing, the regular daily updates to our site's Prayer Page will center upon a new chapter of The Gospel of Luke each day until we reach the end of the Gospel on Christmas Eve. Today is December 24, so we invite you to join us in prayerful meditation upon Luke 24 today -- and we trust in Our Lord that these prayers have been a Christmas blessing for one and all.

Missionary Seth Hester has been making the rounds across our area, catching up with friends and family and sharing some of the blessings of his time on the base an international missions group near London. The Herald wishes this blessed young man a Merry Christmas and we know many more Godly victories are in store for him upon his return to Europe. We've got a photo from one of Seth's stops in the area last week, and a few inspiring testimonies from his time in England are coming to the Missionaries Page in the next edition of The Herald. (Which, Lord willing, will come in January, pending good support of our start-up campaign.)
