Job Responsibilities:
Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper PPE compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and product safety standards and procedures
Operating and changing over label finishing equipment in a productive and efficient manner
Monitoring machine performance (registration, copy, color and other quality parameters) on a regular basis
Providing a strict eye for detail and quality during production and inspection
Ability to read job ticket carefully and ensure machine is set up to customer and label needs
Input job order information into the computer; set specifications on the machine (measurement accuracy and attention to detail required)
Attach slitting blades to machine when necessary
Inspect and remove all defects, properly splice the roll, stamp each role
Lift rolls of material to and from the machine (up to 50lbs regularly & repetitively)
Compliance with all data integrity, product safety, and GMP standards required.
Thread label material through machine rollers
Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of workspace
Light maintenance of machinery and slitting blades may also be required
Participation in department meetings, process improvement events, training, and safety program as scheduled
Requirements:
High school education or GED equivalent
1 to 3 years’ previous machine operation experience preferred
Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (calculate conversions when necessary)
Ability to prioritize and withstand routine and repetitious work
Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and stoop
Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions
Strong proficiency in the use of computer systems
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a high sense of urgency for on‐time completion of assigned activities
Ability to work day or night shift, 12 hour rotation, and every other weekend based on assigned schedule (overtime as scheduled)
