This has been one fun year for the podcast! Earlier this past year, we decided, for our own mental health and family life, to completely change how we create and release content and how we would manage our social media presence.

For the last many years, we released 1 episode per week and each episode averaged over an hour (because long form content is the best content!); however, we were both getting burned out. To make sure the podcast kept going strong, we decided to release episodes every other week and only go for about 45 minutes at max. WIth social media, we decided to not engage much on our public facing socials and instead, focus on our Facebook community.

Honestly, we didn’t know what this year would hold for the podcast, but rather than shrink, we grew! Spotify’s stats don’t tell the whole story, but it’s been amazing to see how many new folks have found and engaged with the podcast, joined the Facebook community, and grew in their faith.

This is definitely a God thing, and we can 100% say that we don’t take any of the credit.

For those who have been with RTC since the beginning, we’re so thankful for you, and for those who just found the podcast, welcome! For those who found us somewhere in the middle, we love you, too!

Keep the faith. Die to yourself. Represent your King.

This past year has been such a blast here on the podcast. Sure, Spotify can show us stats on downloads, charts, and countries that tuned in, but it can’t tell you how many people have a stronger faith in Jesus Christ, how many lives were impacted, how many people found a community, and how many skeptics because believers.

When we first started the podcast, we figured that no one would listen to this podcast besides our moms, but now, we are blessed to have a whole community that is built around the show!

As we walk into 2024 together, we both want to say a massive “thank you!” to every single person that tunes into our show. We’re just two dudes in a basement, but we are blessed to have played a small role in your faith journey!

Thank you all for making this show something special.

The word advent means “coming” or “arrival” and speaks of Jesus’ arrival that first Christmas morning in Bethlehem. The season of Advent is a time when we joyously and prayerfully anticipate the celebration of Jesus’ first coming. And, we look forward to His second coming, while also affirming that He is present in the world today offering His redeeming love to anyone who will simply receive it.

One of the most beautiful symbols of the Advent season is the traditional Advent wreath. This Advent wreath is intended to help us keep our focus on the real reason for the season – the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Each Sunday leading up to Christmas, we will be talking about a different candle – representing, in order, hope, peace, joy, and love – although we usually light these candles in our homes, we obviously can’t do that on the podcast, but we will still talk about the candles as a way to remember each week in the advent season.

So join us for the next 4 weeks and then the final episode on Christmas Day as we set time to focus our eyes, minds, and hearts on Jesus – the true reason for the season.

Happy Thanksgiving!! As you are out and about today with your family, we want you to remember three things:

1. Even if life hasn’t shaped up the way you want, you have much to be thankful for.

2. Because you were bought with a price, glorify God with your entire body (heart, soul, mind, and strength).

3. Green bean casserole is the greatest Thanksgiving side of all time.

This years Thanksgiving Day episode just dropped so listen in on your way around town or when it’s time to relax after a long day!

There’s been a lot of talk of what’s goin on in Israel, which leaves many Christians asking “is this the end?”

There’s been a lot of sermons and conversations centered around what Jesus said about “wars and rumors of wars, nations rising up against nations, and famines and earthquakes,” but many people forget the little sentence in the middle of that conversation where Jesus says, “see to it that you are not alarmed.”
