First off, we'd like to thank Ethan Hendricks for devoting the last two years to our Cougars and Lady Cougars on The Hunt!

That being said, Ethan has taken an amazing opportunity which means we are looking for a new voice for Cougar Football for the 2024 season.

Coach White going home

Sad news to report today from The Hunt as Head Coach Floyd White has accepted a position as Athletic Director/Head football coach for Pampa ISD. Coach White joined Compass Academy in 2022 after many years on the staff at Midland Legacy. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for Coach White as he will finish his career in the town he started from and was a standout graduating in 1996. (Yes, there was someone else other than Zach Thomas!) Coach White will be heavily missed. Compass is currently looking for a new head football coach. From all of us here at The Hunt we wish you the very best!!! CLAWS OUT

The Lady Cougars will finalize their District Season in tonight’s matchup vs Tornillo. During their last matchup, The Lady Cougars took the Dub, 45-28 and are looking to go out with a BANG again this evening. We are proud of your growth and hard work this season ladies! Go Get ‘em!

The Cougars Gents aren’t quite done, they will be matching up with the Tornillo Coyotes tonight as well. In the last matchup between these two teams, our Cougars kept it close, falling just short, 32-38. But tonight, they are looking to take the DUB.

Few things this morning:

1) from Cari Hall to all baseball parents who has their incoming freshman and other high schoolers interested there will be a meeting tonight at The Commons.

2) Lady Cougars played a phenomenal game last night vs Stanton Lady Buffs. Defense is getting better and better and your almost there!!!! DONT GIVE UP! Coach Bush has got this team right there. They are still young and still believing.

3) last nights boys game was by far the best I’ve called in the last 2 years of calling games here! WHAT A GAME!!! Cougs take it to the chin 30-27 against a stout Stanton team. Cougars did have the lead for awhile throughout the game. Those games are always exciting especially in front of a packed house!!!
