মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের মধ্যে হিন্দু নেই, ভাষা আন্দোলনে শহীদদের মধ্যেও কোন হিন্দু নেই! মূলত ‘বাঙালী মুসলমান জাতীয়তাবাদীদের’ কাছ থেকে ইদানিংকালে এই রকম ইতিহাস বা প্রশ্ন আসতে শুরু করেছে। এর কি কোন ভিত্তি আছে?

শুরুতে বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের ইতিহাস ও এই যুদ্ধে ভূমিকা ও অবদানের কৃতিত্ব নিয়ে যে রাজনীতি ঘটেছিলো সেটি না বললে এই প্রশ্নের উত্তর মিলবে না। বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে ঘোষিত প্রথম ‘বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ’ জগতজ্যোতি দাস এর খেতাব স্বাধীনতার পর কেড়ে নেয়া হয়েছিলো। জগতজ্যোতি দাসের গ্রুপের নাম ছিলো ‘দাস_পার্টি’ যা পাকিস্তান সেনাবাহিনী ও রাজাকারদের জন্য ত্রাস হয়ে উঠেছিলো। কী পরিমাণ আক্রোশ তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছিলেন যে তার লাশ পেয়ে পাকিস্তানীরা ও রাজাকাররা বিদ্যুতের খুঁটির সঙ্গে ঝুলিয়ে রেখে বেনোয়েট দিয়ে খুঁচিয়ে জনসাধারণকে দেখিয়েছিলো পাকিস্তানের অখন্ডতার বিরুদ্ধে কাজ করলে ফল এরকমই হবে। জনগণ ভুলে গেছে সে দৃশ্য।

নইলে কি করে তারা ‘মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের মধ্যে হিন্দুরা নাই কেন’ এই রকম ইতিহাসে মাথা দোলায়?

বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বেসামরিক মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের অবদানকে প্রায় অস্বীকার করা হয়েছে। যে কারণে ‘বীরশ্রেষ্ঠদের’ সকলেই সেনাসদস্য। এমনকি মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় নারীদের অবদানকেও প্রায় অস্বীকার করা হয়েছে! বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে চারটি খেতাব দেয়া হয়েছে, বীরশেষ্ঠ, বীরউত্তম, বীরবিক্রম, বীরপ্রতীক। একটা উদাহরণ দিলেই বিষয়টি পরিস্কার হবে- বীর উত্তম দেয়া হয় ৬৮জনকে তার মধ্যে বেসামরিক মুক্তিযোদ্ধা মাত্র ৫ জন!

অথচ পুরো মুক্তিযুদ্ধে জানবাজী করে সম্মুখ সমরে শত্রুর কাছে অকাতরে প্রাণ দিয়েছিলো সাধারণ কৃষক, শ্রমিক, ছাত্র সমাজ থেকে আসা মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা। এ প্রসঙ্গে বলে রাখা উচিত বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে ভারতীয় বাহিনীর সদস্যদের অকুতভয় লড়াকু যুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করে নিশ্চিত মৃত্যু জেনেও যেভাবে প্রাণ দিয়েছিলো তার জন্য কোন খেতাব রাখা হয়নি। কয়েকজন বিদেশী স্বেচ্ছায় মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলেন, তাদের জন্যও কোন খেতাব রাখা হয়নি।

সেখানে ‘হিন্দু’ জনগোষ্ঠিকে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে যে একটা আলাদা পর্দা দিয়ে হাইড করা হবে সেটা কি খুব অবাক করা বিষয়?

যে আদিবাসী পাহাড়ী জনগোষ্ঠির মানুষ মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলো সেটা কতজন জানে?

শুধু চাকমা রাজা রাজাকার ছিলেন সেই ইতিহাসকে বড় করে দেখানো ছাড়া ঐ জনগোষ্ঠির মানুষদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে ভূমিকাকে কেন গোপন করা হয়েছে?

আপনারা কি কেউ জানেন তিনশো সাঁওতাল তরুণ মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলো?

কেউ সাঁওতাল মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের নেতা সাগরাম মাঝি, বিশ্বনাথ টুডু নাম শুনেছেন?

তাদের নাম কি আমাদের মূলধারা মুক্তিযুদ্ধের ইতিহাসে নেয়া হয়?

চাকমা রাজা ত্রিদিব রায় রাজাকার ছিলেন এটা বলতে ভালো লাগলে বারবার বলুন সমস্যা নেই কিন্তু এই রাজপরিবারের আরেক সদস্য কেকে রায় যে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বিরাট ভূমিকা রেখেছিলেন সেটি কেন বলেন না?

রসময় চাকমা ভারতে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের টেনিং নিতে গেলে তাকে দলে নেয়া হয়নি! কেন?

চাকমাদের পাকিস্তানপন্থি বানানো হয়েছিলো। পুরো আদিবাসী জনগোষ্ঠিকে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে স্থান দিলে ‘বাঙালি জাতীয়তাবাদ’ সফল হবে কিভাবে?

বাঙালি জাতীয়তাবাদ দিয়ে পাঞ্জাবী পাঠান মুসলমানদের বিরুদ্ধে লড়ে সফল হলেই সেটা যে ‘বাঙালী মুসলমান জাতীয়তাবাদ’ হবে সেটা হয়ত তাদের মনে মনে ছিলো! আজকে যখন ঘৃণ্য সাম্প্রদায়িক প্রশ্ন তোলা হয় মুক্তিযুদ্ধে হিন্দুরা যুদ্ধ করেছিলো কিনা- তখন জগতজ্যোতির নামই শুনেনি এমন তরুণদের গুণে শেষ করতে পারবেন না। জ্যোতির যুদ্ধের কমান্ডার ছিলেন সুরঞ্জিত সেনগুপ্ত।

বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধকে ‘বাঙালি মুসলমানের যুদ্ধ’ এরকম একটা কন্ঠস্বর প্রতিষ্ঠার চেষ্টা কয়েকবছর ধরে হচ্ছে। এটা করতে সঠিক সময় তারা বেছে নিয়েছে। কারণ স্বাধীনতার পঞ্চাশ বছর পর অনেক ইতিহাস সংরক্ষণের অভাবে মুছে যাচ্ছে। ধরুণ আজকের কোন প্রজন্ম যদি অস্বীকার করে কোলকাতার থিয়েটার রোডে প্রবাসী সরকার গঠন করতে যে বাড়িটি ভারত সরকার দিয়েছিলো তা সত্য নয়- আপনি কি দেখাতে পারবেন ইতিহাসের সেই বাড়িটিকে? চিন্তা করতে পারেন একটা জাতি মুক্তিযুদ্ধ পরিচালনা করেছে যে বাড়িতে বসে সেই বাড়িটি ভারত সরকার বারবার তাগাদা দিয়েছে জাদুঘর করে রাখার জন্য কিন্তু বাংলাদেশ সরকার কর্ণপাতই করেনি!

বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে হিন্দুদের টার্গেট করে পাকিস্তানীরা এসেছিলো এটা বলার পর কয়েক বছর আগে আমাকে আরএসএস বিজেপির এজেন্ট বানিয়ে দিয়েছিলো কথিত ‘মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনার’ লোকজন।

আমি প্রশ্ন করেছিলাম বাংলাদেশের যতগুলি গণহত্যার ইতিহাস পাওয়া যায় তার ৯৯ ভাগই কেন হিন্দু অধ্যুষিত এলাকা ঘটেছিলো?

নিয়াজীর আলাদা করে হিন্দু কিলিংয়ের খবর জানিযেছিলেন মার্কিন সাংবাদিক অ্যান্টনি মাসকারেনহাস। ধর্ষিত নারীদের বড় অংশ ছিলো হিন্দুরা। ৬৪-৬৫ সালে হিন্দুদের উপর দ্বিতীয় দফা জেনোসাইড শুরু হলে হিন্দু মধ্যবিত্তদের প্রায় ৯৯ শতাংশ ভারতে চলে যায়। এরাই ছিলো শিক্ষিত শ্রেণী। এদের রাজনৈতিক অবস্থান ছিলো বামপন্থা।

মুক্তিযুদ্ধ এদের অংশগ্রহণ সম্ভব হয়নি কারণ তারা ততদিনে ভারতের নাগরিক। যারা মুক্তিযুদ্ধে ভারতীয় হিসেবে দারুণ ভূমিকা নিয়েছিলেন শরণার্থী শিবিরে। কিন্তু শরণার্থীদের সংখ্যায় হিন্দুদের যদি ৯৯ ভাগ বলি তো ভুল হবে?

মোট শরণার্থীর সংখ্যা ছিলো ৯৮ লাখ ৯৯ হাজার ৩০৫ জন। তার মধ্যে হিন্দু শরণার্থী ছিলো ৬৯ লাখ ৭১ হাজার! মুক্তিযুদ্ধ জাদুঘরের ট্রাস্টি, গবেষক, লেখক মফিদুল হক জানিয়েছেন শরণার্থীদের অধিকাংশই ছিলো হিন্দু। শত্রু সম্পত্তি করে তাদের সয়-সম্পত্তি দখল করার মচ্ছব করার সুযোগ করে দিয়ে, একাত্তরে তাদেরই শরণার্থী বানিয়ে, স্বাধীনতার পর শত্রু সম্পত্তি আইনকে টিকিয়ে রেখে তাদের সম্পত্তি ভোগ দখলের সুযোগ করে দেয়া জাতি তো প্রশ্ন তুলবেই মুক্তিযুদ্ধে হিন্দুদের ভূমিকা কি?

১৯৭১ সালের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময়ও ঢাকায় দূর্গা পূজা হয়েছিল পাকিস্তান সেনাবাহিনীর তত্ত্বাবধানে বহির্বিশ্বে ঢাকাকে স্বাভাবিক দেখানোর জন্য। এবার রামকৃষ্ণ মিশন প্রথমে দেশের পরিস্থিতি অনুকূলে নয় বলে কুমারী পূজা না করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। কিন্তু পরে সেনাবাহিনীর সঙ্গে মিটিংয়ের পর কুমারী পূজা করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। এদিকে পাহাড়ে এবছর কঠিন চীবর দান আদিবাসী পাহাড়ি বৌদ্ধরা না করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে পাহাড়ের রক্তাক্ত অস্থির অবস্থার কারণে।

বর্তমান সমাজে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে ঐক্যের অভাব বেশ প্রকট হয়ে উঠেছে। বিভিন্ন সংগঠন এবং দলগুলোর মধ্যে মতবিরোধ ও সংঘাত হিন্দু সমাজকে বিভাজিত করছে। এটি শুধু হিন্দুদের রাজনৈতিক এবং সামাজিক অবস্থানকে দুর্বল করছে না, বরং তাদের ধর্মীয়, সাংস্কৃতিক এবং ঐতিহ্যিক দিকেও প্রভাব ফেলছে। এই প্রেক্ষাপটে, "হিন্দু ঐক্যের আগে নিজেদের ঐক্য সর্বাগ্রে দরকার"—এই বক্তব্যটি অত্যন্ত প্রাসঙ্গিক এবং গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

হিন্দু সমাজে বেশ কিছু সংঘঠন এবং দল রয়েছে, যেগুলো বিভিন্ন লক্ষ্য এবং উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে কাজ করছে। তবে, বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রে এই দলগুলোর মধ্যে মতপার্থক্য ও দ্বন্দ্বের ফলে হিন্দু সমাজে বিভাজন দেখা দেয়। রাজনৈতিক মতবিরোধ থেকে শুরু করে ধর্মীয় আচার-অনুষ্ঠানের বিশ্লেষণে পার্থক্য—এই সবকিছুর প্রভাব হিন্দুদের মধ্যে বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করছে।

এই বিভাজনের ফলে একে অপরকে ছোট করার প্রবণতা, বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানে বা সিদ্ধান্তে পোন্দা-পুন্দি করা এবং একে অপরের প্রতি অবিশ্বাস দেখা দিচ্ছে। হিন্দু সমাজের অনেক সদস্য একে অপরের সাথে মতানৈক্য রাখেন, যা তাদের একত্রিত হওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে বড় বাঁধা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে।

যে কোনো সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য ঐক্য হলো তাদের শক্তির মূল। হিন্দু সমাজের অভ্যন্তরীণ ঐক্য হীনতায় সম্প্রদায়ের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টা দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ে। যখনই একটি সমাজ বা সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে অভ্যন্তরীণ বিভেদ থাকে, তারা বাহ্যিক প্রতিকূলতার মোকাবিলায় সক্ষম হয় না। তাদের ভেতরকার মতবিরোধ বহিরাগত শক্তিগুলোর জন্য সুযোগ তৈরি করে দেয়। ফলে হিন্দুদের সামাজিক, রাজনৈতিক এবং সাংস্কৃতিক অধিকার রক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে বড় সমস্যা দেখা দেয়।

বিশেষত বর্তমান যুগে, যেখানে ধর্মীয় ও সামাজিকভাবে প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়েছে, সেখানে হিন্দুদের এক হয়ে কাজ করা জরুরি। হিন্দুদের মধ্যে ঐক্য থাকলে, তারা নিজেদের স্বার্থ রক্ষা করতে এবং তাদের অধিকার আদায় করতে সক্ষম হবে। তাই, হিন্দু ঐক্যের আগে নিজেদের মধ্যে ঐক্য স্থাপন করা সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

কেন পোন্দা-পুন্দি বন্ধ করা জরুরি?

পোন্দা-পুন্দি, বা একে অপরকে ছোট করা এবং বিরোধিতা করা, হিন্দু সমাজের একতার ক্ষেত্রে বড় বাধা হিসেবে কাজ করছে। পোন্দা-পুন্দি হলে কোনও সংগঠন বা দল নিজেদের লক্ষ্য এবং উদ্দেশ্য থেকে দূরে সরে যায়। তারা একে অপরের সাথে সংঘর্ষে লিপ্ত হয়, যার ফলে তাদের মূল কাজ বা মিশন প্রভাবিত হয়। এটি হিন্দু সমাজের উন্নতির পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করে।

ধর্মীয় আচার-অনুষ্ঠান নিয়ে মতানৈক্য বা আচার ব্যবস্থাপনায় পার্থক্য থাকতেই পারে। কিন্তু এর জন্য একে অপরের সাথে শত্রুতা পোষণ করা ঠিক নয়। হিন্দুদের উচিত একে অপরের মতামতকে সম্মান করা এবং নিজ নিজ আচার পালন করা। বিভিন্ন মত এবং অভ্যাস থাকা সত্ত্বেও, হিন্দুরা যদি একত্রিত থাকে, তাহলে তাদের ঐক্যের শক্তি আরও বাড়বে।

হিন্দু সমাজে একাধিক সংগঠন রয়েছে, যেমন—বিশ্ব হিন্দু পরিষদ, আরএসএস, হিন্দু মহাসভা, শিবসেনা ইত্যাদি। এই সংগঠনগুলো হিন্দুদের স্বার্থে কাজ করার কথা বলে, কিন্তু প্রায়ই দেখা যায় যে, তাদের মধ্যে মতপার্থক্য ও দ্বন্দ্ব রয়েছে। এই বিভাজন শুধুমাত্র হিন্দুদের একতাকে দুর্বল করে না, বরং বহিরাগত শক্তিগুলোর কাছেও হিন্দু সমাজকে দুর্বল প্রতিপন্ন করে।

এই ধরনের বিভাজন এবং সংঘাত হিন্দু সমাজের নেতিবাচক চিত্র তুলে ধরে। সংগঠনগুলোর মধ্যে যখন পোন্দা-পুন্দি হয়, তখন তারা নিজেদের স্বার্থ রক্ষা করতে পারে না। তাই, এই সংগঠনগুলোকে অবশ্যই তাদের নিজেদের মধ্যে ঐক্য স্থাপন করতে হবে এবং একে অপরকে সহযোগিতা করতে হবে।

একতা কীভাবে অর্জন করা সম্ভব?

১. সবার মতামতকে সম্মান করতে হবে: হিন্দু সমাজের বিভিন্ন স্তরের মানুষের ভিন্ন ভিন্ন মতামত এবং বিশ্বাস থাকতে পারে। তবে, এই মতামতগুলোকে সম্মান করা এবং একে অপরকে সহ্য করার মনোভাব থাকতে হবে। সবাই যদি একে অপরকে ছোট করে বা উপহাস করে, তাহলে ঐক্য আসবে না। তাই, সবাইকে একে অপরের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল হতে হবে।

২. সংঘাত এড়িয়ে চলা: হিন্দু সমাজে বেশ কিছু সংবেদনশীল বিষয় রয়েছে, যা নিয়ে অনেকের মধ্যে মতপার্থক্য রয়েছে। এই মতপার্থক্যগুলো সংঘাতে রূপ না দেওয়াই বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ। সংঘাত এড়িয়ে আলোচনা ও আলোচনার মাধ্যমে সমস্যার সমাধান করতে হবে।

৩. বড় লক্ষ্যকে সামনে রাখা: হিন্দুদের মধ্যে যে দল বা সংগঠনই থাকুক না কেন, তাদের মূল লক্ষ্য হওয়া উচিত সমাজের মঙ্গলের দিকে মনোযোগ দেওয়া। ক্ষুদ্র সমস্যাগুলোতে ফোকাস না করে, বড় লক্ষ্য এবং উদ্দেশ্যের দিকে মনোযোগী হতে হবে।

৪. যোগাযোগের উন্নতি করা: হিন্দু সমাজের মধ্যে বিভিন্ন সংগঠন ও ব্যক্তির মধ্যে ভালো যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা তৈরি করতে হবে। যখন সকলে একে অপরের সাথে কথা বলে, তখনই বোঝাপড়া এবং সহযোগিতার সম্পর্ক গড়ে ওঠে। এজন্য, নিয়মিত আলোচনার মাধ্যমে মতপার্থক্যগুলো দূর করতে হবে।

হিন্দুদের মধ্যে যদি ঐক্য প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়, তাহলে তারা তাদের ধর্মীয়, সামাজিক এবং রাজনৈতিক অধিকারের জন্য আরও দৃঢ়ভাবে সংগ্রাম করতে পারবে। ঐক্যের মাধ্যমে তারা যে কোনও বহিরাগত হুমকি বা সমস্যা মোকাবিলা করতে সক্ষম হবে। এছাড়া, সমাজে হিন্দুদের সাংস্কৃতিক এবং ধর্মীয় উৎসবগুলো আরও বৃহত্তর পরিসরে পালন করা সম্ভব হবে।

ধর্মীয় আচারের মাধ্যমে ঐক্য প্রদর্শন করা সম্ভব। এর মাধ্যমে শুধু হিন্দুদের মধ্যে সম্পর্কের উন্নতি হবে না, বরং তারা একসাথে কাজ করার উদাহরণ তৈরি করতে পারবে। ঐক্যের ফলে সমাজে হিন্দুদের মর্যাদা এবং অবস্থান আরও শক্তিশালী হবে।

হিন্দু সমাজের মধ্যে ঐক্য প্রতিষ্ঠা করা এখন সময়ের দাবি। পোন্দা-পুন্দি, মতপার্থক্য এবং অভ্যন্তরীণ দ্বন্দ্ব হিন্দুদের একতাকে নষ্ট করছে। এইসব তুচ্ছ বিষয়গুলো দূর করে একত্রিত হওয়া এখন জরুরি। ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে কাজ করতে পারলেই হিন্দু সমাজের উন্নতি সম্ভব। নিজেদের মধ্যে ঐক্য গড়ে তুলতে পারলেই হিন্দুরা তাদের বৃহত্তর লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্যে সফল হতে পারবে। ঐক্যের শক্তিই হলো হিন্দু সমাজের প্রকৃত শক্তি।
