This afternoon's spotlight goes to the Badis Badis, also known as the Blue Chameleon fish. These small fish only grow to 3 inches long and have a relatively shy nature, working best in peaceful community tanks. The right fish is the male as they have most of the color and the pale one on the left is the female. Keep in mind that the male shows off his colors to court females so it is always best to buy one or more females to keep the male's color the most vibrant. If you want to learn more about these spectacular fish then stop in today!!!

We had 16 young ladies from around Central Illinois show up for the first open gym and anticipate that number to grow this week. The young ladies played hard and it was fun to watch.

Our Chinese dwarf hamsters are so sweet and tiny, they’ll bring the life you need to any dreary dorm room. Hopefully you had an opportunity to enjoy False Fall this week as Summer 2.0 moves in this upcoming week.

We said last weekend that it may be the last 90 degree for many. While much of us won't see 90 degrees for several months(besides west central/SW IL), we'll come close with mid-upper 80s.

These temps are 10-15 degree above average and unfortunately this trend will continue into Mid-October.

No signs of Frosts or Freezes for the next couple weeks.

It's Bonfire, pumpkin spice, apple picking, light AM Jacket and flannel season! Summer put up a fight but has finally lost to Autumn.

The cold front is currently in Iowa and by tomorrow evening all of Illinois will have relief from the heat.

60s and low-mid 70s will be the theme this week with chilly lows in the 40s for most of us. Low lying areas in NW IL may even reach the upper 30s by Thursday morning.

These temps will feel much better compared to the upper 80s and low 90s plus humidity we've had for the past couple weeks.
