The old me used to hide, consumed by the fear of what other people were thinking about me… and how I looked. I was convinced that everyone was judging me. The truth is… I was harshly judging myself.

Some of the things I did:
✨slouched my shoulders to hide my “huge” breasts
✨wore sleeves to cover my flabby arms
✨wore long shirts or tied sweaters around my waist to cover my “wide” hips and “big” thighs
✨avoided direct eye contact walking into a room
✨wore subdued colors to avoid drawing attention to myself

This is ME today. Wearing a fitted dress, bold colors, bright hair, walking into a crowded conference, striking up conversations with the CEO… with a genuine smile and confidence in who i am.

Self-love is a journey… I have arrived. 🫶🏽

I didn’t always love and appreciate my body as it is. Like so many women, I measured my beauty in comparison to the models in media and marketing. I felt like a skinny girl trapped in a fat girl’s body. Until two amazing women in my life helped me shift my perspective.

First, my sister helped me reframe my self image by posing the question… what if you’re starving the voluptuous Goddess rather than embracing Her? Profound.

Second, my bestie helped me shift my the lens through which I perceived myself by showing me the beauty in the lights & shadows, and graceful lines of the physical form as she sees it through the lens of her camera. She is the ultimate confidence coach who empowers me and given me the confidence to show up… authentically and wholly as me.

I am forever grateful for these strong and supportive women in my life who have been instrumental in the liberation of my inner Goddess. 🖤
