Do you know the history of Vodou, or do you believe it's evil and dark?
Chappelle's Show began streaming on Netflix in the U.S. on Nov. 1. and is owned by ViacomCBS. It's still available on the company’s Comedy Central and CBS All Access outlets and was also recently licensed by HBO Max but has been taken off of Netflix's platform, per Dave Chappelle's request.
Companies that license a program pay the seller who, in tern, has to compensate the creatives on the show.
“People think I made a lot of money from Chappelle’s Show,” Chappelle says in the video, filmed during a recent standup set. “When I left that show I never got paid. They (ViacomCBS) didn’t have to pay me because I signed the contract. But is that right? I found out that these people were streaming my work and they never had to ask me or they never have to tell me. Perfectly legal ‘cause I signed the contract."
I called them (Netflix) and I told them that this makes me feel bad. And you want to know what they did? They agreed that they would take it off their platform just so I could feel better.

Even with the lack of integration in Black Communities, there are still those who feel the need to protest and march. What can those who prefer to, "do for self," do to make sure protesting doesn't happen in vain?
Are we living in survival mode?
Survival mode is the short-term, fear-based mode of thinking you enter when your fight-or-flight response is triggered. It's the poisonous mentality that leads you to attack or retreat during stressful times rather than communicate and embrace.

What's the blueprint for building wealth and competing economically as a group?
We rarely discuss current events for the sake of discussing them, but the recent situation with Nick Cannon and ViacommCBS brought up a really good talking point. Cannon has worked with them for about 20 years and as soon as he mentions something outside of their scope, he's dropped.
The question is, are we thinking about ownership when we start the process of "going to business for ourselves" or are we waiting to be discovered and bought out?
We're getting started late but want to still jump in on the topic of Black Love. Tune in for a little bit while we get into the conversation.
“We’ve talked a lot about what we are demanding from our officers in our communities,” the Mayor continued. “We’ve protested, we’ve demonstrated, we’ve been angry, we’ve cried, we’ve demanded action. Well now we’re demanding action for Secoriea Turner and for all of the other people who were shot in Atlanta last night and over the past few weeks because the reality is this – these aren’t police officers shooting people on the streets of Atlanta, these are members of the community shooting each other, and in this case, it is the worst possible outcome.”

Ask anyone who the world’s all-time richest person is and you’ll probably hear Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Gates or Warren Buffett - but that is of course, wrong.
“The typical black family has just 1/10th the wealth of the typical white one. In 1863, black Americans owned one-half of 1 percent of the national wealth. Today it’s just over 1.5 percent for roughly the same percentage of the overall population.”
