Check Yourself, Protect Your Future. Healing Starts with Awareness.

This October, we come together to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection saves lives, and it all begins with self-care—check yourself regularly and consult with a doctor for peace of mind and prevention. Your well-being is a gift that deserves protection. 🌸✨

In support of this cause, for every pink f***y pack or drawstring bag purchased on our website lboutdooradventures.com, I will donate $5 to breast cancer research and awareness. Let’s walk this healing journey together, supporting those in need and spreading hope, one step at a time. 🌿💗

Visit lboutdooradventures.com and get your pink f***y pack today. Join the movement to heal, uplift, and inspire. Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future.

Want to help your public lands recover from wildfire? Come help us plant bitterbrush seeds on Friday!

On Sept 27, we'll be near Clover Flat planting seeds to reestablish bitterbrush in the 2021 Cougar Peak Fire scar in honor of National Public Lands Day.

Bitterbrush is an important winter forage for mule deer and the riparian seed helps with bank stability and water absorption.

Remember to bring sunscreen, snacks, or lunch to sustain you for the day; water; a hat; leather gloves, eye protection; and sturdy shoes. Long sleeves and pants are highly recommended. Tools will be provided!

National Public Lands Day is the perfect hands-on opportunity to experience what the nation's public lands offer. Everyone is welcome to help restore, beautify, and improve the outdoor spaces and recreation areas we all benefit from and enjoy.

Repost: A reminder to out of state hunters: that it is illegal to bring some parts of your harvested deer, elk, and moose back into Washington. Thanks for doing your part to prevent the spread of chronic wasting disease.

Out of state hunters: it is illegal to bring bones back into Washington

WDFW Police reminds hunters that there are restrictions on importing deer, elk, moose, or caribou into Washington if they were harvested outside the state. The same restrictions apply when moving deer, elk, or moose harvested in GMUs 124, 127, or 130 to other parts of Washington. We need your help limiting the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease in Washington.

Bone out animal in the GMU the animal was harvested in. Wrap in cellophane and/or ziplock bags. For a “euro mount”, cut skin off skull, simmer in a pot over a camp cooker to loosen soft tissue, remove all soft tissue with a knife and tweezers, finally rinse with boiling water to sanitize, including inside skull cavity.

Here is what you can legally transport in Washington:
• Meat that has been de-boned where it was harvested. You may only import or transport boned-out meat.
• Skulls and antlers (with velvet removed), antlers attached to the skull plate, or upper canine teeth (bugler, whistlers, ivories) if all soft tissue has been removed
• Hides or capes without heads attached
• Tissue imported for use by a diagnostic or research laboratory
• Finished taxidermy mounts

WDFW also has webpages with information available about CWD, including frequently asked questions and how-to information for submitting a harvest for testing. Our website also has details about new regulations implemented in response to the first confirmed case in the state
