Yes, eye catching visuals STILL MATTER, but not quite as much as the text content of the post.

Step 1: Focus on Text-Based Content
Research indicates that text-based content is the most effective on LinkedIn. It encourages more conversations in the comment section, which is crucial for increasing dwell time on the platform.
Step 2: Start with a Blog Post
Begin by publishing a blog post on your website. This will be the original source of your content.
Step 3: Republish on LinkedIn
Wait two days after your initial blog post goes live, then republish the same content as an article directly on LinkedIn, rather than just posting a link.
Step 4: Signal to Google
By publishing on your website first and then on LinkedIn, you signal to Google that you are the original author, which helps drive search traffic back to your site.
Step 5: Include Visuals
When posting your article on LinkedIn, make sure to add an eye-catching graphic or photo. Visuals are essential because they grab the attention of users as they scroll through their feeds.
Step 6: Attract Initial Engagement
LinkedIn will initially expose your post to a small percentage of your followers. Focus on attracting comments and conversations within the first hour after posting.
Step 7: Boost Visibility
If your post garners engagement quickly, LinkedIn is more likely to show it to a broader audience, both within and beyond your follower base, expanding your reach.
This is the most impactful piece of marketing I've seen in a long time created by ad agency SMALL in New York for the charity CoorDown in Italy alongside various Down syndrome associations across the world.
When you really dive into the inspiration behind the campaign, it becomes even more so.
Its message echoes a speech by Marta Sodano, a 29-year-old Italian woman with Down syndrome, at the UN. She shared her school challenges, highlighting the concept of 'self-fulfilling prophecy' in psychology.
She explained, "I learned that in psychology, there's a concept known as 'self-fulfilling prophecy.' It's when a teacher believes that a student can't understand, so they behave accordingly and end up not teaching the student. And just like that: the prophecy fulfills itself."
I love seeing effective marketing being used not only to sell products, but to sell ideas that change the world for the better.

I took a break from socials and hereâs why. The holidays bring on a special kind of stress for business owners, and Thanksgiving completely threw me off my normal rhythm. Believe me, itâs one of my favorite times of the year, but that doesnât take away from the added pressure of spending quality time with extended family, purchasing meaningful gifts, cooking, hosting, and whatever else the holidays entail for you, ALL WHILE continuing to stay active on social media and grow your business. If I were an active agent, here are 5 marketing strategies I would use as we close out 2022!
1. Use reels as part of your marketing strategy. They do not get to be your ENTIRE marketing strategy!
2. Utilize LinkedIn. Please. LinkedIn is one of my FAV platforms and youâd be shocked how many people tell me, âwell, I have an account, but I canât remember the last time I was on it.â Find your login, and start posting. Youâll thank yourself in 6 months.
3. Put captions on every single video you post! 80% of viewers watch video content with the sound off, they need to know what youâre talking about or they will just scroll by.
4. Partner up! Get your community, your vendors, and your fellow agents involved in your content, and watch your engagement skyrocket!
5. Prioritize engaging over the holidays. Itâs a fact that engagement will go down in the next 2 months. People are busy with family, food, and holiday prep. This is the time for you to engage more closely with your community. Double-down on the DMs, story replies, and well thought-out comments. P.S. LinkedIn is ALWAYS bustling. Donât forget to engage with that community too!

You donât have to erase it because I get it⌠The idea of going viral and exploding online is very exciting. But if your goal is to build a sustainable business outside of social media, one perfect, viral video is NOT THE ANSWER. In fact, âgoing viralâ can actually hurt your account. If your goal is to reach a local audience and connect with your community, going viral will actually have the opposite effect you want it to! It will pull your content into audiences that will never buy from you. Hereâs my advice. Know your target audience. Create content for those people. Stay consistent. I promise you have people watching your social media that you donât even know are there. Youâre showing up for them. You arenât showing up for the view count. Youâre showing up for REAL PEOPLE. Yes, itâs fun to see thousands of views on your posts, but what if theyâre all from the other side of the world and not one of them ever interacts with your content again? And when you see 125 next to the number of views, itâs easy to get discouraged, but what if 1/125 if a potential buyer or seller. Those odds are pretty good if your audience is localized, and now the 125 views doesnât seem so small, huh? Next time you post a reel, think about that. Every view is a REAL PERSON.
