Carbon credits is a scam. The ONLY people who benefit from that program are the wealthy elites like King Charles, as the cost of energy skyrockets for the rest. The elites benefit both financially and gain more power at the same time, as the middle classes become poor and the poor become desperate.
More importantly, desperation can go two ways:
1. The not elites can become the beggars of history.
or
2. The non elites can fight back and actually eliminate the wealthy elites.
And as more of our law enforcement, namely the military, sees their families evolve into great hardships, guess what side they will be on?
Only problem, this evolution takes time and in the meantime, many human lives will be lost to poverty for something that could have been prevented, had it not been for the greed and power sought by the elites.
Point is. The humanity is on a very slippery slope with such a program.

Since this is the season for peace and love, I have a solution that can be applied to all here.
Several here want to eliminate the use of fossil fuels and they are adamant about it, regardless of the data presented. Net zero.
Here's what they need to personally do to satisfy their interests and fears. I will enumerate a few.
1. The first thing they can do is to rid themselves of their computers and the internet. Why? ALL parts of a computer and the internet are very much dependent on fossil fuels with little exception. If EV energy was even used to mine the minerals necessary the cost of computers and the internet would be so incredibly high they could no longer afford them.
Of course, the side benefit would be those of us with a lick of common sense would not have to listen to their continuous hysteria about the climate.
2. Housing. They need to build mud homes or stone homes using no mortar or nails as that also requires masses of energy to produce, especially mortar. Guess they could pound out their nails on a coal fired forge. LOL.
3. They could become hunter/gatherers once again, as no refrigeration would also decrease the load on the grid. Of course, individual wind or solar would also not be able to sustain household refrigeration. All they would have to do, in the colder climates, would be to chop and store ice. Screw those in warmer climates. And to quote Kamala Harris..."it's the science." Actually its the math.
4. They need to forsake all modern medicine as it is very much dependent on fossil fuels for both the product and the dispensation of modern medicine. And if you had taken any organic chemistry, you would already know that.
5. Food. They should grow ALL their own food or only purchase foods grown, or produced locally, eliminating farm equipment and transportation. And, of course, a LOT of jobs would also be eliminated in the process. Gonna really suck for the city people. Free ranging dog are not all that bad tasting. Cooking hint: Dog meatloaf is delicious. I actually mean that. If they can't screw them, too. Most don't produce much, anyway. But hey, we can depend on the kindness of the anti fossil fuel people to care for these people now out of a job or living in the cities. Right?
6. Transportation. Walking or getting a horse, maybe? Maybe in population dense areas we could have public transportation also powered by horses, as wind/solar are simply not enough to provide the transportation in our massively overpopulated cities. Again, per Harris, "it's the science."
The above solutions with make a major step in the goal of attaining net zero.
However, as individuals? Do your duty. Get rid of your tech products, build your own sod houses or stone house without mortar(the Inca's did it), no modern medicine and just live out your lives naturally, walk or horseback but no bikes as they require manufacturing using steel and a lot of heat, grow all your own food or become hunter/gatherers, make you own clothes out of natural fiber.
You can do it! I know you don't want to be hypocrites. If you considered it your personal adventure, you would not be such a pain in the ass to the rest of us.

From my brilliant friend, Richard Cronin:

Below are examples of really good scientists who dare to challenge the CO2 climate change narrative.

John Clauser (Nobel Prize in Physics) has much to relate regarding the bullying and intimidation leveled at “deniers.”
A few years ago on the evening of Earth Day, Dr. John Christie, Univ. of Alabama, had his office shot up in a drive-by.
Judith Curry quit her position at Georgie Tech due to death threats.
Peter Ridd was let go from James Cook University for disputing the b.s. about the Great Barrier Reef “dying”. He appealed his termination all the way to the Australian Supreme Court and lost because it was deemed to have impugned the work of others.
Susan Crockford did not have her contract renewed at the Univ. of Victoria (Canada). The University did not say why. Of course, she disputes claims about the imminent extinction of the polar bears.
Caleb Rossiter worked at a think tank to foster development of nations in Africa. He wrote an editorial to the Wall Street Journal promoting the use of carbonaceous fuels would be one of the best ways to improve conditions. He was informed of his dismissal by a curt e-mail …. clean-up your office a clear out.
I belong to the American Geophysical Union and they are bewailing the fact that students aren’t getting into climatology studies ….. good say I.

There are some extremely false narratives being spread by DC insiders and the press today. Of course, it's Trump's fault, ad nauseam.
It's discussed how Trump put our "farmers on welfare." That is NOT true about our farmers and is only a part of the antiTrump propaganda machine looking for use fools.
Why do I know that? I am a farmer, as well, hiring people to do my work. It's part of my daily life. Farmers wholeheartedly supported and still support Trump and his economic policy, as they knew what was good for our nation. It's not even close.
Trumps policy was to make America SELF RELIANT. He did that as he saw American technology escape to China, to a point it was making us rather subservient to China. Not a good thing. Example: About all antibiotics are manufactured in China! And it pi**ed off China, as they saw their lucrative markets declining.
And making America more self reliant included building Keystone. When that was cancelled by Biden it really harmed the economy of Fairbury, Nebraska, a small town relying on that pipeline, as it was to be a major hub. Jobs just went away.
Trump was doing a good job of creating a more austere budget, namely attacking wasteful spending by the Pentagon. Angered them, as well. He got our stealth technology at a lower cost. as well as with the production of AF-1.
Trump was succeeding until Pelosi came in and held the federal government hostage if they did not pass her spending bills, including some incredible wasteful spending when Covid hit, also remembering funds for the uber endowed and wealthy National Symphony. Hence Trump signed off on frivolous spending just to stay in business.
I don't know where you are getting your info on gas prices, but I do know its bogus. Trump not only brought to us less costly gas prices compared to Obama, he was able to do that while he rebuilt our strategic reserve! That's very important.
The ONLY reason gas prices have lowered now is because Biden has depleted our strategic reserve to some rather dangerous levels. It's a national security issue, at this point.
You wanna see how our nation was betrayed by politicians. Treason, if you will.
Go no farther than VP Joe Biden's deal with China, selling the US high tech company by the name of Henniges to Chinese bankers, who, in turn, provided lucrative investment opportunities for Hunter's several shell companies, amounting to millions.

My response to a person who was denigrating those who challenge the narrative of CO2 climate change:

So, you're sure that human produced CO2 is causing the current climate change.
Here's a few inconvenient facts.
1. CO2 makes up but .0004 of the total atmospheric gaseous profile. NOT much.
2. Humans safely produce 12% of that, although some will say most of it. And they are grossly wrong. I actually looked at the stoichiometry used to measure the tonnage of human produced CO2. Its GROSSLY over-exaggerated. Why? They assume ALL carbon atoms from carbon fuels eventually becomes the carbon atoms of CO2 molecules. That has NEVER happened and never will happen.
I used as a basis for my conclusion actual physical research of which I was a part. We once studied the properties of particulate carbon using Raman spectroscopy.

OH...that is good.

I had yet to read Huxley, yet I communicated much the same thing in a paper I wrote in 1987, titled, "Wanting to Believe."
The difference is that I took what Huxley wrote, referring to most not being very bright, only seeking their personal comfort, and applied it to those with great learning skills, referring to intelligence.
I know too many people with great learning skills who are also intellectually lazy. They "want to believe." And I made references to a very well educated population in Germany prior to WWII.
The bottom line is that TRUE intelligence requires one not only being able to easily assimilate information, but to also think critically and to honestly question what they are told.
Read Huxley's quote:

The greater part of the population is not very intelligent, dreads responsibility, and desires nothing better than to be told what to do. Provided the rulers do not interfere with its material comforts and its cherished beliefs, it is perfectly happy to let itself be ruled. ~Aldous Huxley

I don’t know about you but I’ve had enough insanity. Please share other absurdities. I find it’s therapeutic.
A recession is not a recession
An open border is not an open border. There are no negative impacts from an open border.
Killing a baby seconds before it is born is a choice not an abortion
Parents confronting school boards about their kids education are domestic terrorists
A woman can’t be defined, a man can have a baby
A vaccine and masks that don’t prevent the transmission of a virus are required to prevent transmission.
A riot where neighborhoods and police stations are burned to the ground, police and citizens are assaulted and murdered are mostly peaceful.
Pain at the pump is a good thing because it helps people realize we need alternative green energy
Challenging electoral college votes and establishing alternate electors using the legal statutory processes is a coup and criminal scheme.
A riot break in at the Capital is deemed an armed insurrection, with no arms and no planned insurrection.
Roads are racist
Trump directed the “insurrection” even though there is no evidence of his doing so.
Shutting down pipelines, restricting drilling, closing Anwar, banning fracking, declaring you are going to shut down fossil fuels, restricting investment in drilling and refining, threatening to sue energy companies for global warming has no impact on gas prices.
Antifa and BLM are just ideas not domestic terrorists Marxist street thugs
Anyone whole loves USA is a racist white nationalist who supports the K*K just like Trump and his supporters, they probably fly flags and use the word “patriotically” and support Qnon.
Inflation is transitory, caused by Putin just like high gas prices
A green new deal that cuts our emissions to net zero will stop global warming. Even though that does literally nothing unless China and India do the same, they won’t.
The Afghan military is strong
Joe Biden has no cognitive issues, he just has a speech impediment. Repeat the line.
Critical Race Theory that trashes USA as inherently racist and irredeemable demanded by Dems in schools and military, is actually a right wing dog whistle, made up by Republicans.
Returning abortion decisions to the states is a “power grab” by the radicals controlling the Supreme Court.
Taking fi****ms from law abiding citizens will stop criminals from shooting people.
Pelosi never shared any information with her husband who then used it to make millions in the stock market.
That the state legislatures determine voting, not governors or judges is just a theory. Even though the Constitution couldn’t be more clear it’s the legislature.
Defunding and reimagining police, ending no cash bail and mass incarceration will have a positive impact, especially in low income high crime areas.
An EV vehicle that uses electricity generated by fossil fuel power plants and destroys the environment to make batteries from materials outside the USA is good for the planet and America.
Hunter Bidens laptop, Bobolinsky and all that stuff about the “big guy” are Russian disinformation used by Fox News. Joe never talked to Hunter about his business stuff. C’mon man.
The CCP is a “competitor” not our enemy and we need to understand white rage.
It’s not a felony to protest at Supreme Court judges houses even though the statutes say otherwise. Feel free to harass and intimidate them, their families and their neighbors anywhere because they are obviously extreme right winger fascists.
Spending 10 Trillion dollars that doesn’t exist won’t cause inflation.
The speaker of the house set up a committee to determine what happened on J6 but we won’t question the person responsible for security at the Capital, Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the house

While technology has greatly improved it has NOT improved to a point where EV is a viable solution for anything other than short commutes.
And that will be good for air polluted cities. When I was on a book signing tour in NYC, we would walk from our hotel down to the Javitts Center and back. The smell of car exhausts, air pollution, and rotting garbage was appalling.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, we can NEVER get past the fact that wind/solar simply does not have the "energy density" of coal/oil/gas, which does NOT have the energy density of nuclear power. It's not even close. Its basic physics. Werner Heisenberg is "laughing in his grave"

While EV would be beneficial for urban areas, it is certainly not for rural, food production or industrial. I once computed the distance a farm tractor could run using the most efficient EV. It was but hundreds of yards before needing to be recharged! To put it into perspective, if a combine does not burn 200 gallons of diesel fuel in a day's harvest, they had a bad day. And that's just a single combine. EV there is a disaster waiting.

More importantly, fools who consider wind/solar as good solutions for electrical generation, with the closure of coal/gas as forms of electric generation also do not recognize that electricity usage is expected to DOUBLE in the next 50 years, beyond the introduction of generation for EV, which is making it worse! That is significant. We will live in a real dark ages, if this green agenda continues as it has.

The thought of an entire electrical grid depending on the very unreliable wind/solar is quite frightening, in spite of the promises of a super grid which also brings super and incredibly costly maintenance problems.

When the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine, no electricity, while coal, gas, nuclear, the energy is 24/7. And storage of such energy in wind/solar is a serious environmental problem unto itself. We have to see how well the LFTR development is going.

An engineer friend working for a local power company says we are already experiencing significant transformer blowouts because of the rapidly varying generation capacity now combing with a varying load. And its gonna get worse.

As importantly, the environmental impact of attaining the minerals, copper(lots more of it, aluminum. lithium, and rare earths for EV is at least as bad as coal/gas, if not worse.

We will be facing an "excused genocide," as people can no longer afford the energy or the products produced by energy. But maybe that's what is wanted by the "green elite." They won't have to feel guilty as they will be "saving the planet."

Ponder this:
I wanted to purchase concert tickets for my favorite musical group. Their hallmark is they do the music of Chicago, and they are really really good. The theater where they are playing tonight is obviously "very proud" of their tickets. Expensive tickets.
However, instead of purchasing those tickets, I am now taking that same money and am purchasing some groceries for a struggling WORKING family. Struggling due to the idiotic inflation, an inflation that did not have to happen, caused by the Biden adm.
I certainly will NOT willingly help out the growing number of deadbeats being paid to not work. I will certainly not help out illegal aliens coming here primarily to enjoy social services. If these illegals work and do not use social services, they have my blessings.
With that said, I have a proposition for ALL of my friends. Why not seek out these struggling families, now faced with the new poverty being thrust on good hard working AMERICAN families?
How can that be done? Start with your entertainment. Stop going to movies or even cancel cable tv to stop supporting the Hollywood elites. Don't buy designer clothes, so popular with our spoiled youth. Buy at second hand stores. Limit unnecessary consumer items. You don't need the latest cell phone or computer.
As importantly, charity is tax deductible, if one does it correctly. That will create less money for the federal government to waste.
It's time we stand up and help our fellow hard working American citizens, instead of deadbeats and government bureaucrats.

It appears that FB removed a quote of Donald Trump, stating it was "for a small group, changed, or removed by the owner" And FB lied.

On Dec. 19, 2019 Trump said the following referring to his impending impeachment. I QUOTE:

"They're not after me. They are after you."

Trump was just the roadblock getting in the way of a very corrupt deep state in Washington, DC. Considering the kangroo court without the Chief Justice leading the trial as prescribed by the Constitution, it was just that.

WE MUST STOP THIS AT ALL COSTS BEFORE THIS NATION IS DESTROYED!

Some politicians and some media are calling for "sensible or reasonable" gun control. Either one works.

Once upon a time, a woman called a radio station. She was requesting that deer crossing signs at a particular location be moved to a location more convenient for traffic, so the deer would cross there, instead. Really happened.

But here's the problem. Deer do not read signs nor do they care to obey the law. The same goes for those who wish to harm others with fi****ms.

Those asking for "sensible or reasonable" gun control, like banning "assault" rifles, are just like that woman who wanted to move deer crossing signs. They're idiots.

We need to focus on the growing nihilist mentality as it is so destructive. So, what causes that nihilist evolution? Helplessness, anger, and frustration. What causes that?

While some of it is real, most of it is very much the result of these same politicians and media using people for political gain. Why is that true? Injustice has been with us forever, with people being treated much worse than now and that violence did not happen, like now.

Its these same politician and media telling groups of people they are constant victims, other groups they are villians(remember Hillary Clintons "deplorables" and Obama "they cling to the guns and the Bible," or they support groups committing horrible acts (Kamala Harris supporting the antifa/blm movement.)

These politicians and media need to look into a mirror and begin to figure things out.

Since about everyone is discussing the altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock, the Populist Wire should again use its adherence to common sense and also opine.

Too much of the discussion revolves around whether or not its fake. Could be real and could be good acting. Only Will Smith knows. More importantly, being real or fake is irrelevant.

With that said, Smith is a role model for many young boys and men. They look up to him.

What kind of message does Will Smith's bad behavior give to these young people? First. This is NOT about chivalry in any sense of the word.

However, it sends the message that violence is a viable alternative to settle a rather minor faux pas to these very same young people. That kind of behavior, too often, gets people hurt or killed for no good reason. And it ruins the lives of both the victim, the perpetrator, and their families who love them.

Smith should be charged with assault and battery OR admit it was a hoax.

Green New Deal is not green at all. In fact, its arguably worse. Why?
For everyone wanting to “go green”, here is some info we should all read.
This is an excellent breakdown.
The green Agenda is not as environmentally safe as they wish to believe.
Batteries, they do not make electricity – they store electricity produced elsewhere, primarily by coal, uranium, natural gas-powered plants, or diesel-fueled generators. So, to say an EV is a zero-emission vehicle is not at all valid.
Also, since forty percent of the electricity generated in the U.S. is from coal-fired plants, it follows that forty percent of the EVs on the road are coal-powered, do you see?"
Einstein's formula, E=MC2, tells us it takes the same amount of energy to move a five-thousand-pound gasoline-driven automobile a mile as it does an electric one. The only question again is what produces the power? To reiterate, it does not come from the battery; the battery is only the storage device, like a gas tank in a car.
There are two orders of batteries, rechargeable, and single-use. The most common single-use batteries are A, AA, AAA, C, D. 9V, and lantern types. Those dry-cell species use zinc, manganese, lithium, silver oxide, or zinc and carbon to store electricity chemically. Please note they all contain toxic, heavy metals.
Rechargeable batteries only differ in their internal materials, usually lithium-ion, nickel-metal oxide, and nickel-cadmium. The United States uses three billion of these two battery types a year, and most are not recycled; they end up in landfills. California is the only state which requires all batteries be recycled. If you throw your small, used batteries in the trash, here is what happens to them.
All batteries are self-discharging. That means even when not in use, they leak tiny amounts of energy. You have likely ruined a flashlight or two from an old, ruptured battery. When a battery runs down and can no longer power a toy or light, you think of it as dead; well, it is not. It continues to leak small amounts of electricity. As the chemicals inside it run out, pressure builds inside the battery's metal casing, and eventually, it cracks. The metals left inside then ooze out. The ooze in your ruined flashlight is toxic, and so is the ooze that will inevitably leak from every battery in a landfill. All batteries eventually rupture; it just takes rechargeable batteries longer to end up in the landfill.
In addition to dry cell batteries, there are also wet cell ones used in automobiles, boats, and motorcycles. The good thing about those is, ninety percent of them are recycled. Unfortunately, we do not yet know how to recycle single-use ones properly.
But that is not half of it. For those of you excited about electric cars and a green revolution, I want you to take a closer look at batteries and also windmills and solar panels. These three technologies share what we call environmentally destructive production costs.
A typical EV battery weighs one thousand pounds, about the size of a travel trunk. It contains twenty-five pounds of lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminum, steel, and plastic. Inside are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells.
It should concern you that all those toxic components come from mining. For instance, to manufacture each EV auto battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, and 25,000 pounds of ore for copper. All told, you dig up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust for just - one - battery."
Sixty-eight percent of the world's cobalt, a significant part of a battery, comes from the Congo. Their mines have no pollution controls, and they employ children who die from handling this toxic material. Should we factor in these diseased kids as part of the cost of driving an electric car?"
I'd like to leave you with these thoughts. California is building the largest battery in the world near San Francisco, and they intend to power it from solar panels and windmills. They claim this is the ultimate in being 'green,' but it is not. This construction project is creating an environmental disaster. Let me tell you why.
The main problem with solar arrays is the chemicals needed to process silicate into the silicon used in the panels. To make pure enough silicon requires processing it with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrogen fluoride, trichloroethane, and acetone. In addition, they also need gallium, arsenide, copper-indium-gallium- diselenide, and cadmium-telluride, which also are highly toxic. Silicon dust is a hazard to the workers, and the panels cannot be recycled.
Windmills are the ultimate in embedded costs and environmental destruction. Each weighs 1688 tons (the equivalent of 23 houses) and contains 1300 tons of concrete, 295 tons of steel, 48 tons of iron, 24 tons of fiberglass, and the hard to extract rare earths neodymium, praseodymium, and dysprosium. Each blade weighs 81,000 pounds and will last 15 to 20 years, at which time it must be replaced. We cannot recycle used blades.
There may be a place for these technologies, but you must look beyond the myth of zero emissions.
"Going Green" may sound like the Utopian ideal but when you look at the hidden and embedded costs realistically with an open mind, you can see that Going Green is more destructive to the Earth's environment than meets the eye, for sure.

I have a LOT of Ukrainian and Russian friends. Really good and loving people, they are.
Make no mistake about it, the incursion into the Ukraine has NOTHING to do with the liberation of ethnic Russians in the Ukraine, as Putin has stated! Why? These ethnic Russians have enjoyed a very good and free life in the Ukraine. And they were free to travel to Russia at any time. This is harming BOTH ethnic Russians and the Ukrainians.
It has everything to do with very corrupt oligarchs, basically the Russian mafia using Putin to satisfy their abject greed and power.
The point is we have a very real syndicate of organized crime attempting a takeover of the worlds economy and it includes CHINA and a few in the USA.
And, of course, China's interests lie in acquiring gas/oil from Russia. China doesn't give a damn that thousands, maybe millions, of innocent people are being slaughtered or being driven from their homes.
This is evil beyond belief.
