Many of you know that we continue our work with Jesus Bread of Life Church and Orphanage in Uganda to provide them food, clothing, medical care, shelter, and schooling. Your help is paramount!

Along with this international support, we provide for local and national folks who are single-family households, people recovering from substances, homeless, and veterans who have served our country.

Many times we are providing for people until permanent solutions are in place. In some cases, we are the permanent solution. Thank you for being part of the solution with us!

3 Keys to Building Executive Function Skills

1. Organization: Developing strong organizational skills is essential for executive function. This includes creating systems for managing time, tasks, and resources effectively. Encourage individuals to use calendars, to-do lists, and other tools to prioritize and stay on top of responsibilities. Breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps can also help improve organization.

2. Self-regulation: Executive function skills involve self-regulation, which is the ability to control impulses, manage emotions, and maintain focus. Practice techniques such as deep breathing or mindfulness to help individuals stay calm and focused during challenging situations. Encourage them to set goals, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed to improve self-regulation.

3. Planning and problem-solving: Developing strong planning and problem-solving skills is crucial for executive function. Teach individuals how to set clear goals, create action plans, and break down complex tasks into manageable parts. Encourage them to think critically, consider different perspectives, and brainstorm creative solutions to problems. Providing opportunities for real-life problem-solving experiences can also enhance these skills.

By focusing on organization, self-regulation, planning, and problem-solving, individuals can develop and strengthen their executive function skills, which are essential for success in various aspects of life.

The only way we’re going to make any progress in the world is if we grow our capacity to deal with reality.

In America, we have become a body of people that believes whatever it wants on whatever grounds it chooses, and it’s allowed to change at any time. This is insanity!

Given whatever names that things are given, things are what they are. Not because of the name. But because of the very nature of the thing itself. Call a rock mashed potatoes if you want, but it’s still hard.

It is only when we face reality that we find our true power, and until that very moment, we are in darkness, and confused, and working in a counterproductive manner to ourselves.

Get help for yourself and support others dealing with reality. Otherwise, we are just chasing the wind.
