From LCN all the way to Wayne State, it was a journey of highs, lows, multiple shoulder injuries, awards and many setbacks. My dream was always to play in the NFL and it didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted but I loved the grind of getting better and getting in the end zone (which I did quite often 😉)

I know my experiences as an athlete keep me sharp in the business world today and working hard for myself, family and my mission to impact billions of people.

Both raised on Section 8, Welfare, Food stamps and all of that. Both pursued our dreams of playing ball in the league and getting that big check by going to colleges that gave us an opportunity. Although it didn’t work out for us in that lane, we did not give up finding a way to change the lives of our families. Now we are partners in business and we are on the path to greatness just like we did back in the day.

We’ve been locked in since 2008 with a plan to do it bigger than anyone in our family has ever done. Love you bro and i’ll see you at the top 🙏🏾

There’s has been a lot of growth for me and those closest to me this year and I want to share some insight into how I did it.

I want to share with you my Top 8 physical books of the year. Let me know what y’all think.

1) Shoedog by Phil Knight; full scale memoir by the creator Nike, speaks about his journey from running track at Oregon up until Nike went public. Highly recommend it for anyone interested in becoming an entrepreneur.

2) Contagious by Jonah Berger; understand how things go viral and what makes certain trends and waves happen. Insights are wonderful for anyone in the marketing world and looking to dive into the psychology of marketing more.

3) Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason; one of the most prominent books of our time. Wealth principles from an ancient legend that still apply to modern day. Super quick read but it will give you information about being wealthy that you haven’t been exposed too ever.

4) Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki; the most fundamental book about financial literacy in the world. Written so simple that a 3rd grader could read it. I’ve read it over 3 times and I still learn something new each time. This book started my entrepreneur journey by shining a light on how the rich actually get rich.

5) Hope in the Dark by Craig Groschel; the pastor Craig Groeschel from Life Church breaks down the process of having hope during dark times. Not the fun loving Christian talk that you hear every Sunday but straight talk truth about how to deal with uneasy times.

6) Mental Chemistry by Charles Haanel; still read this book daily. Incredibly simple explanation of how you are in control of your mind and what is happening in your head. This book unlocks the secrets of creating the reality you want for your life. Recommended to me by my business partner .

7) The four by Scott Galloway; this book dissects and reveals the ways that the top four companies in the world — Google, Facebook, Apple and Amazon — run their businesses.

8) Law of Success by Napoleon Hill; the success Bible. Principles and action steps that have been tested for decades to guarantee success.
