METAL PRINTS are now 35% off with the code Metal35. I have two types of metal prints on my website www.silverspiritphotography.com. I have High-Gloss Metal, which looks like a sheet of glass. I have Mid-Gloss Metal, that does not have as many reflective qualities. You have a choice of the regular High-Gloss Metal or exhibit mount High-Gloss Metal and the same with Mid-Gloss Metal. It is just according to how you want to hang the print. When looking, simply use the 360 degree viewing tool to see the difference. I really like metal prints for images with water in them or reflections. Things like Aspen leaves work well, too. I hope this clears up any confusion you may have about the metal prints I offer. The images below would make awesome metal prints.~Susan

Today, I received my Canvas Gallery Wrap print of "Kauai Sunset" and it looks absolutely stunning. This photograph was challenging, but really awesome in many ways. The awesome and expensive part was a trip to Hawaii! We visited four islands and Kauai was my favorite. On this particular day, it was cloudy and I sat out on the beach for quite a while. Not much of a hardship, I know. Then, just as the sun was setting the clouds gave way somewhat and were lit up magnificent light. I did not take a tripod with me on this trip, so I had to improvise. I sat on a rock and placed my elbows on my knees as I took the photograph, keeping my hands and the camera as still as possible. Needless to say, I now own a tripod, that is very sturdy, made of light weight carbon fiber, that I can pack in my one checked bag.Lessons learned, patience and innovation. If you ever get the chance to travel to Hawaii, seize the opportunity. ~Susan

I took this photograph, "Sunlight Patterns near Father Baraga’s Cross on the North Shore of Lake Superior. This area has some of the most beautiful rocks they have been smoothed over the millennia by wave action. It was late afternoon, so plenty of sunlight filtering down through the water. I loved the patterns that were made by the light and the distortion of the rocks and the amazingly clear water. It does take some patience to find just the right location and composition, but I think these are beautiful abstractions. I have spent years taking pictures of rocks under water. Some I like to take in calm water and some with moving water. As this photograph of "Rocks and Waves" shows a more sculptural feel by using a fast shutter speed to freeze the water’s action, making the water appear solid. Or in this other photo of Rocks and Waves, where I used a longer exposure to blur the water.~ Susan

I took this photograph several years ago, on my last vacation with my sister. Unfortunately, she died soon after this and I could not edit the photographs I took until recently. This is called "Winter Sunrise", taken on the North Shore of Lake Superior. I think it is beautiful and every time I look at it I will remember my sister. I hope you enjoy it, too. Susan
