My life journey like everybody else, is taking dips, turns, peaks and valleys. Along the path, cancer jumped on the road. I’ve posted every turn, whether it was good or bad. Never adopting any negative energy, regardless of diagnosis. My PSA has been at 0 for the last four years. Meaning the cancer was in remission. Last week my check up revealed an elevation from 0 to 40. Now if any of you remember, I posted my 2018 results. My PSA was 765! So, recently they had me do a CT scan and a bone scan. There are 2 small spots. One in my right shoulder and the other in my left hip area. I’m having no pain whatsoever. I’m not posting this for pity. I’m giving you a front row seat to witness how faith works. I’m not making promises, except to show you all changes. Then, you’ll understand that it’s nothing that I’m doing on my own, but Gods doing. The week that this new information was discovered was a beautiful example and reminder that God is with me, and to stay the course. Earlier in the week, I was driving to work and hit a pothole that I didn’t see. I continued on to work and didn’t check the tire. Got off work, drove home from South Miami Blvd on the highway. Repeated the same thing the next day. By the way, I was working a special detail in Durham that was suddenly given to me. I normally work in Zebulon. Anyway, on the second day I got all the way to my subdivision and stopped to speak to a good friend. While I was pulled over in front of his house, my low air light came on for the driver side front tire. It was dropping fast! I hadn’t turned my motor off and was just going on with the conversation. When the conversation ended I drove around the block to my house. Pulled into my driveway. I got out and looked at the tire and I could hear the air escaping! It wasn’t completely flat but it was going fast. My doctors appointment for the scans that I mentioned were for the next morning. So, I got an Uber and got the scans done, came home and the tire was low but not completely to the ground. The tire shop is only 3-4 miles from my house. So, I’m realizing that these are run flat tires and I won’t need a tow truck! I drive to the shop, replace the tire, go back home and was able to drive to Zebulon that evening because the special detail was over too.
All that to say……LOOK AT GOD!!!! I’m in awe of the way that I’m being guided, used, and protected, so I won’t apologize for the long message. The point is, faith is just a word to some people, but it’s an action for me. I have no fear of cancer, nor any other bump in life’s road. The message that I got?
My job is to stay on the path! Stay on the road. God will do the rest.
Amen…..
