Beyond the Ring is an educational podcast… with a touch of flair. Serving as co-hosts are the contrasting personalities of Ryan Rash and Dale Hummel. More now than ever our industry needs leaders who are not afraid to discuss tough issues while also encouraging and educating the stock show community.

Ryan brings more excitement and energy into the arena than we have seen in the history of stock shows. His ability to sort stock across species and eloquently describe the stock in a manner that is both entertaining and educational with such consistency is second to none. Ryan is committed to judge any show in the country, from jackpots to county fairs to the ‘big ones.’ His passion for providing a positive experience for the youth in this industry and their families is palpable.

Dale brings an unparalleled foresight, along with a wealth of knowledge and experience both from academia and the real world. Currently his family is involved in the show goat industry, breeding exotic felines and a new cattle venture. His passion for the animal industry and educating youth, along with his ability to ‘think out of the box,’ has served him well.

These two individuals have taken different paths to success, but both have the same common goal of educating youth and promoting junior stock show programs. Dale’s levelheaded, forward-thinking approach combined with Ryan’s natural abilities and flair should prove to be an interesting combination.
