There is an entire corporate and business world out there banking on you feeling too tired to work on your own vision after getting off your 9 to 5. They need you to remain in the cycle of helping them fulfill their vision at the expense of your own.

Go put that eight hours in on your job and then come home and give your vision at least five. You don't have time to be tired; you are striving for something; you can be tired when you get there.

The music world is mourning the loss of one of their own. Rudolph Isley who rose to fame as a founding member of his family vocal group, The Isley Brothers, has died this according to TMZ and several other sources.

The Isley Brothers stretched the musical spectrum. From Gospel to Motown with drops of Doo-Wop, the brothers' style was versatile & fluid. At the end of the 50s, they scored their first Billboard Hot 100 hit. “Shout - Part 1” stalled at #47, but was a major smash in Australia where it went all the way to #2. In 1962, they scored their first Top 20 hit, “Twist & Shout” the song traveled to #2 on the R&B Chart. "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)" would also crack the Top 20, while their biggest hit, "It's Your Thing”, came at the close of the 60s - peaking at #2 on the Hot 100 and topping the R&B Chart.

In 1973, the trio doubled in size and again their style went in a soulful, funky direction. Brothers, Ernie & Marvin jumped on board, as did founding member Rudolph's brother in law, Chris Jasper. They enjoyed massive success on the R&B Chart during this era. The act scored over a dozen Top 10 Hits between 1973 and 1980, with four tracks topping the chart. The four to take the top spot included; "Fight the Power"—Part 1, "The Pride"—Part 1, "Take Me to the Next Phase"—Part 1, "I Wanna Be with You"—Part 1. Additional success followed in the 80s, before Rudolph left the act in 1989.

Isley was 84 at the time of his passing. His memory will live on through his music.
