Actress, producer, and director America Ferrera was born in Los Angeles to Honduran parents.

Early in her career, she garnered modest success with film roles in the Disney original “Gotta Kick It Up!” (2002) and “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” (2005). Ferrera took on one of her most famous roles as Betty Suarez in the ABC comedy-drama “Ugly Betty” (2006–10).

She has received numerous accolades, including an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2007, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Vidcove is almost ready to go live. We're working through some last minute details 😅, stay tuned. We want to make sure the platform is in tip-top shape. 😎

It's official, Vidcove goes live February 17th, 2020. We'll have a fantastic offer on the table for people who sign up in the first 30 days. $10/ year for as long as you're a member. No, that's not a typo. $10 bucks PER YEAR. No need to shell out your hard earned cash every month. We think that's insane.

That will include future access to our Roku, IOS, Android and LG Television apps when they are released. Unbeatable.

Of course, we will always have free streaming events and videos here and on our website.

Welcome to Vidcove!

Interesting article.🧐 One of the things we anticipate going into 2020, is that more studios will want to build their own platforms. Just like how Disney decided to launch its own platform featuring its massive content archive.

Unfortunately, it's going to get real expensive to watch all the shows you want.🙄 Some titles will be on one platform while other titles will be on another.

Our model is different. Rather than compete with big studios to license their films and shows, we're building a platform featuring old and classic titles as well as independently produced features. We aren't going to bother with 24/7 streams or trying to become massively bloated. That allows us to offer a free model and a cheap yearly subscription. Right now, we're aiming for $20 bucks a year. 😁

On top of that, we'll launch Roku and AppleTV apps, so you don't have to buy or download anything new. 😎

Last week was a seminal one for the streaming television business, which is in the middle of a Great Upheaval ™. We are watching the undoing of Version 1.0 of the streaming landscape as Version 2.0 is being built.

One thing we've learned over the past 10 years, is that technology startups play a big part in driving innovation.

Vidcove will be what we like to call a 'Digitally Native' media company.

Most real-time media companies that provide news, edutainment and family friendly programming put their focus on TV and cable. Streaming content online is an after the fact deal.

We're flipping that on its head. Rather than prioritize TV and cable, we're building a platform that is built around web. We will add on TV based services later, but the focus will be on digital.

You might ask, how is this different from YouTube? While YouTube is a platform for mostly non-curated content, we'll be showcasing shows and creators that we've partnered with and want to present to our audience.

We'll be launching original shows and movies, as well as bringing you fresh projects from around the world.

Vidcove fits in a world WITH Facebook, YouTube, Netflix and Amazon, without trying to directly compete with any of them.

Make sure you turn on notifications for this page. Like and follow us for the latest, and make sure you share us with your friends!

This Saturday marks 78 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor. This attack damaged or destroyed 20 ships and left more than 2,400 service personnel and civilians dead.

Each year we remember the attack, and we've put together a short piece outlining some of the details. We've found vintage news footage and radio broadcasts, which we'll be live-streaming at 8pm EST on Saturday.

We will be broadcasting a special livestream on Saturday evening to commemorate the attack on Pearl Harbor. 🇺🇲8pm Easter...

Hey Everyone!

So we wanted to give an update on our progress. We've made great strides in building our platform, and we're chugging along at full speed. We're looking at a launch date of February 1st with 300+ hours of video content.

We'll be launching with dozens of feature films, documentaries and shorts. In addition, we have a vast library of vintage films and classic television programs. We'll also have a feature not found many other places. Periodic live streams directly from the platform.

We're not trying to compete with the bigger streaming platforms, and want to offer programs and shows from around the web and the world. For this reason, we're looking at a price target of around $20 per year. That's less than $2/month. 😎😎😎. We're even going to throw in a 3 day trial so you can look around.

We'll be web based at first. We hope to be on IOS and Android by the middle of 2020 with a Roku launch by fall. Apple TV will launch at the beginning of 2021.

We'll try to not to bombard your news-feed with too many posts (because that's annoying), and thanks for giving us a follow!

Hey Facebook! We're going to be testing our streaming capabilities this week, with some stuff going direct to Facebook. If you see anything that catches your fancy, please feel free to watch! Otherwise, please exuse our next few livestreams. =)

Going to stream some classic TV later. Will start at 6pm eastern.

Hi Everyone!

VidCove is a new platform being built that will stream content that is owned by independent movies houses or is in the public domain.

We're also creating our own in-house content, including news specials, documentaries and films.

We're NOT trying to compete with Amazon, Disney, etc. We're filling the space left by big movie houses. That space is where the mid-budget film producer lives. The one that funds their project using crowdfunding and money from friends and fans.

Make sure to follow us for more. We'll be streaming some films on Thanksgiving and on Christmas with a projected launch date of January 2020.

😎😎
