Friends of JACPT,

Thank you for all of your work on behalf of JACPT. I write today to inform you of a gracious offer from our colleagues at PTJ who are offering a “PTJ Reviewer Academy” for less experienced reviewers and junior researchers. The goal is to sharpen review skills and give authors the quality tools to be successful in writing. This is a great opportunity to engage with journal colleagues in a combined presentation and Q&A event. You are invited to share this email with colleagues also. Topics will include: evaluating technical quality and impact, decision options, registration of clinical trials and human subjects checks, comments for the editor vs comments for the author, peer review ethics, organizing a constructive review, and identifying fatal vs fixable flaws.

PLEASE RSVP AT: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=-5nntbXE30GOAXjm3Qtnr3JYoi1djRFPtaXY89UWchhUME9RQkRORE9HNlZONlpVS1pIUzc4UjdCSS4u

"Preprints—research outputs that are posted publicly before being peer-reviewed—are growing in popularity across many disciplines. So, too, are initiatives to review, curate, and share preprints within the scientific community."

What are your thoughts on a pre-print journal community? Would the science be preserved or lost?

Godwyns Onwucheka outlines a variety of new approaches to reviewing and drawing attention to preprints across different research areas.
