PSA: Don’t drain your pool during a hurricane. When the pool is empty, it loses the weight of the water that normally holds it down. If the water table rises due to heavy rainfall, the pool can float or pop out of the ground, causing damage to the pool itself and potentially surrounding structures.

A chemical fire at Texas Pool Supply prompted an emergency response and a shelter-in-place order for part of Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday morning. Although now contained, this morning’s fire is potentially a devastating setback for Heritage Pool Supply Group, which had recently launched the Texas Pool Supply brand back in June of 2022.

Local area firefighters responded to a 3-alarm fire at Texas Pool Supply in Frisco, TX early Wednesday morning.
