Andy Samberg says he had to leave “Saturday Night Live” after seven seasons because he had to prioritize his health.

While speaking on an episode of Kevin Hart’s “Hart to Heart, Samberg said, “It was a big choice. For me, it was like, I can’t actually endure it anymore, but I didn’t want to leave. Physically and emotionally, like I was falling apart in my life.”

The Family Remix: Wayne Brady is about to show the world how well his unconventional family blend works. Freeform’s “Wayne Brady: The Family Remix” shows his daily life with his daughter Maile, his ex-wife and business partner Mandie Taketa, and Taketa’s life partner Jason Michael Fordham. Mandie and Jason also have a toddler together. The trailer dropped during Disney’s Television Critics’ Association event and Brady shared “If we’re going to tell the story, if we’re going to represent this family and people like us, then we have to see the whole way through and let’s see what happens — even if it’s hard.” Brady admits the dynamic is weird, but it works. The reality show premieres on July 24th on Freeform.

Cypress Hill played a show backed by the London Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, and diehard "Simpsons" fans will get the joke.

Back in the 1996 episode "Homerpalooza," the gag was that the hip-hop group booked the LSO without remembering, "possibly while high." Their animated versions go on to perform their 1993 hit "Insane in the Brain" with the orchestra. Nearly 30 years later, the booking was real.

The London Symphony Orchestra worked up orchestral arrangements of some of Cypress Hill's biggest songs, including, yes, "Insane in the Brain."

Could McDonald's start selling SALADS again soon? The answer appears to be . . . no, not a chance. Because nobody wants them.
They dropped them from their menu in 2020, and the president of McDonald's says they'd "gladly" sell them again if the demand was there. But they've found it's, quote, "not what the consumer's looking for from [us]."

So what DO customers want? Apparently, this: McDonald's is adding a new KIT KAT MCFLURRY this week. It officially hits the menu tomorrow.

It's called the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry. It comes with vanilla soft serve, real banana, strawberry clusters, and crushed-up Kit Kat bars.

It's the second new McFlurry they've added in the past two months. They debuted their Grandma McFlurry back in late May. They say the new Kit Kat version will be available while supplies last.

Tennis legend Serena Williams reminisced about trying to deposit her first $1 million check from tennis winnings via a drive-thru ATM.

In an episode of "Hot Ones", Williams confirmed that this is, in fact, a true story. Serena explained, “I never really spent a lot of money. I was just so serious. I don’t know what happened to me. I used to be serious.”

“So I just went to the drive through, and the guy was like, ‘Uh, I think you need to come inside for this'.." She called it up to being one of life’s many “lessons to learn.”

Williams also reflected on her early career, sharing that she played purely for the love of the sport, often forgetting about her prize money.

While appearing on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date, the R&B-pop superstar said, “Oh my God, after I said that, I was like, ‘That was so crazy and harsh'. I was just randomly slightly enraged.”

If you could only put one condiment on your hot dog tomorrow, which one would it be? Ketchup, mustard, or something else? A poll looked at the most popular hot dog toppings. And different states had different answers. But #1 overall is . . . MUSTARD.

73% of Americans like mustard on hot dogs. Ketchup is next at 62%. Then onions, relish, and chili all got at least 50%.

Mustard was the top condiment in 14 states . . . Ketchup, 12 . . . relish, 10 . . . onions, 8 . . . and chili, 6.

Here are five more quick stats . . .

1. People said the "perfect" hot dog would have some combination of those five toppings. It should also be grilled and come on a white bun, not wheat.

2. The top sides with a hot dog are French fries, potato salad, and potato chips. Baked beans and macaroni-and-cheese round out the top five.

3. 91% of Americans like hot dogs and eat an average of two a month. But around 40% said they eat more than that this time of year. (I'm eating more than that this week alone.)

4. 91% also think hot dogs are an "American food staple."

5. Only 33% think hot dogs are sandwiches. 67% said they're not.

ABC News correspondent Will Reeve will cameo in James Gunn's upcoming "Superman" movie as a TV reporter. Why does that matter to you? Because Will is the son of everyone's FAVORITE Superman, the late Christopher Reeve.

Christopher played Superman in the classic 1978 movie and its three sequels. In 1995, he had a near-fatal horse-riding accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down.

He worked as an advocate for the disabled until his death in 2004.

It’s grilling season. Have you tried this burger grilling tip? If you want a perfectly juicy burger, put an ice cube in the middle of a patty, folding the meat around it, and then grilling it. That way the ice keeps the patty moist so it doesn’t dry out. A common grilling mistake that leads to dry burgers: biting into your meat right away. If you let the patty sit for five minutes after taking it off the grill, the juices that have pooled in the center of your burger will reabsorb into the rest of the meat.

Avril Lavigne is being bestowed with the "Order of Canada." It recognizes people who have made a positive and lasting impact on communities in Canada or who have brought honor to the country abroad. The singer is one of the 64 new members named by Mary Simon, the Governor General of Canada. "The Order of Canada'' is one of the country's highest civilian honors. There are 83 recipients from all professions this year.

As you head out to enjoy fireworks celebrations this Independence Day, it may be a good idea to leave your pet at home. Local humane societies say fireworks frighten animals and a record number go missing on the holiday. Here are some tips to keep your pup or kitty safe:

*Walk dogs early
*Create a safe space with the windows and curtains closed
*Turn up the radio or TV
*Keep cats inside
*Make sure they have hiding spaces
*If you do bring Fido or Fluffy out, make sure you protect them from the noise and flash of fireworks make sure they are wearing identification and are microchipped
*Do not leave them in car… besides the panic that may set in, it’ll be too hot
*For extremely excitable animals, you may want to talk to your veterinarian about tranquilizers. Use vet prescribed meds only.
*For families leaving on the holiday without their pet, board them or leave them with someone you trust.

During the holiday, there are up to 60-percent more lost animals reported. July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month, please keep your pet safe.

SZA meets Simone Biles in a new promotional video for the upcoming Olympics in Paris.

The “Saturn” singer meets the four-time gold medalist, as the two sweetly fangirl over each other. When Biles mentions that SZA used to be a gymnast herself, SZA replied, “I was nowhere as cool as you. I’ve never seen anything like you. No one has.”

SZA and Biles then take part in a handstand contest, and SZA won by a few seconds.

The Paris Summer Olympics begin on July 26. Snoop Dogg will be joining NBC’s team to report on the games this summer, and will be onsite to deliver “regular reports” on the Olympic Primetime Show.

The U.K.'s Glastonbury Music Festival went down over the weekend. On Saturday night, Coldplay's set featured a special guest: Michael J. Fox. Michael was onstage in a wheelchair, holding a guitar . . . which he actually played during "Fix You".

In the middle of the song, Chris Martin even belted out a little "Johnny B. Goode" . . . the song Michael brought to a new generation when his character sang it in "Back to the Future".

It even inspired Michael to throw a KICK from his wheelchair.

When it was over, Chris thanked Fox and called him, quote, "Our hero forever", adding, quote, "The main reason we're in a band is 'cuz of watching 'Back to the Future'."

A giant sinkhole has swallowed the center of a soccer complex that was built over an operating limestone mine in southern Illinois, taking down a large light pole and leaving a huge chasm where squads of kids often play.

The good news is that no injuries were reported after the sinkhole opened.

Security video that captured the hole's sudden formation shows a soccer field light pole disappearing into the ground, along with benches and artificial turf at the city's Gordon Moore Park. The hole is estimated to be at least 100 feet wide and up to 50 feet deep.

The limestone mine runs under the city park where the sinkhole appeared.

eteran actor Bill Cobbs has died at age 90.

Cobbs passed away on Tuesday night at his home in Riverside, CA, of unannounced causes.

Among his most notable roles were on Season 3 of “The West Wing,” where his character Alan Tatum visits the White House with his son. In “The Hudsucker Proxy,” Cobbs played Moses, the clock man who delivers the prologue at the beginning of the film.

Cobbs played manager Devaney in “The Bodyguard” starring Whitney Houston.

Other film credits: 1997’s “Air Bud,” “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” and 2011’s “The Muppets.” He also played security guard Reginald in 2006’s “Night at the Museum” starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

Celine Dion, accompanied by her sons René-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy, made a rare public appearance at a Las Vegas concert by Croatian cellist HAUSER, who honored her with a performance of "My Heart Will Go On." This touching tribute came shortly after the release of her Prime Video documentary, which reveals the severe impact of her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome. Despite her health struggles, Dion expressed her admiration for HAUSER backstage, telling him that she was a big fan of his work. After applause died down for both HAUSER and Dion, he invited her onstage to perform with him, but Celine politely declined.

A warning about this made the rounds last summer too, but it bears repeating . . .
If you're shopping for a new bathing suit, steer clear of these colors . . . light blue and light green. It's even more important with KIDS' bathing suits.

A company called Alive Solutions did two studies in a lake and a swimming pool. And those two colors were the hardest to see in the water. White was bad too.

It matters because it means they're harder to see when keeping an eye on your kids. And they're the hardest for LIFEGUARDS to see.

They tested 14 different colors, and NEONS were the best. The easiest colors to see in a pool were neon pink and neon orange. For lakes or the ocean, neon orange ranked high again. But neon pink wasn't so great.

So if you're buying your kid a new suit, bright orange is a good choice overall.

The deep archive of music articles on the MTV news website are gone. Paramount Global wiped the sight, sending many angry people to vent online. Included in the purge was the weekly “Mixtape Monday” column that ran for 10 years. On CMT’s website the same happened, only those articles about Country Music and its artists dated back farther. A former editor at MTV news posted “So, mtvnews.com no longer exists. Eight years of my life are gone without a trace. All because it didn’t fit some executives’ bottom lines. Infuriating is too small a word.” Music fans would frequent the sites to pull early info on their favorite artists.
