What quote would you like to see written in pretty calligraphy? This is one of my favorites. 🤓 Mark Twain always has tongue-in-cheek wisdom that keeps things in perspective and, even a century+ later, is relatable.

This was written using Amy Style calligraphy and the watercolor calligraphy technique. If you don’t know how to use watercolors to write calligraphy, *definitely* learn!! I was just reminded of something that reader Kelly S. wrote on this page a couple of years ago that I adored so much I wrote it down for safekeeping:

"One thing I love about calligraphy as an art is that it is always meant to be given away; a small reminder to the recipient that someone cared enough to create a personalized gift meant just for them. An acquaintance I know just moved to their dream village in England. I just received the most lovely message from her, saying that the postman hand delivered the Congratulations on your New Home card I sent and they stood in her doorway together to go over every detail. Noticing how I added a picture of the local estate home, where they volunteer. The art of a calligrapher is meant to be shared, is designed to bring a smile to another. That is magical to me. This community attracts those who put others first. I love us."
