June 1st…today marks 7 years cancer free!!
Life has mysterious ways of working. I am so grateful for the trials and tribulations I have gone through. It has opened me up to my strengths and given me opportunities for growth.
Being faced with health challenges has also given me greater appreciation for the simple things in life…community, family, friends, music…a reminder to enjoy life more.
For all the women out there- I encourage you to “Feel it on the first.”
It was when I just turned 40 and was scheduled for my first (and last) mammogram that my cancer was detected.
Take good care of yourself and your loved ones.
