Let’s talk logos. What goes into a good logo?
We take 3 approaches to logo design which you can see on my page. When you ask us to design a logo you’ll get 3 versions:
1) The banner ad version. This version can be used across top of your web page or as your Facebook display photo. It will have your logo image, name of company, and some sort of short phrase that efficiently describes what you do. See my display pic: Events. Digital. Voiceover
2) the image and name. This can be used as letterhead and potentially your social profile pic depending on how long your name is. We take away the phrasing. It’s just your company full name and potential image that we try to intertwine.
3) the image. It’s the goal of every company to be able to remove the name of their company and people know the logo. Think McDonalds, Disney, John Deere. Many of us will never reach this point but many times since a Facebook profile pic is only 180x180 pixels we can use this. The ‘X’ in my logo is the logo image designed to stand on its own.
Also important to note, colors are important but your logo should look good in gray scale.
